I really am blown away with the amount of individualized attention WUSTL seems to give people after they are admitted. The dean sent me an email with a link to a professor being quoted by local news because she thought it sounded like things I put in my PS and a few hours ago an admissions counselor reached out to try and put me in touch with a current student and get my size so she could send me a shirt.

I'm really feeling the love, guys. This is nice and totally not what I was expecting. :D :D :D

Don't get too excited. I got in last cycle and am still waiting for my shirt. LOL. Lot of admits and such so I don't hold it against them, I just want in again! Haha

For those who have interviewed and been accepted. Did your status date change before you received the email? Did the decision status change to decision made/anything else? I just interviewed yesterday and don't know what I should be looking out for lol

I would say that they are essentially at the same time. The status checker wont tell you what your status is, just that an email has been sent. I would worry more about checking my email.

Application documents received since 11/30... based on my results last year and others in this thread, I was kinda hoping for a quicker turn around. I hope I didn't make a mistake by withdrawing my acceptance last cycle! :/ not that 4 days is a long time by any stretch of the imagination, I'm just neurotic... :/

I think if it was 40 days, it would be OK to be concerned. 4 days is nothing, your decision will get to you soon!!

Although LS waiting days do equal 10 normal days, granted.

I just received a handwritten note in the mail from WashU telling me they would like to offset the cost if I come and visit. Has anyone received this note and visited? Was it a good experience? I wasn't planning on applying, but this is a very nice gesture.

I received this note as well and joined the TLS forums just hoping to find an answer to this question.

I was told about this during my interview with them, they seem super nice and I'm thinking about taking them up on the offer in the next month or so to see if WUSTL is a good fit

I took up the offer (as I was planning on attending the Open House any way) and they told me they would book a hotel room on the night before the December 18th Open House. I sincerely hope they actually booked it, if not that's going to be awkward.

Has anyone with a 166 heard anything from WUSTL? Went complete 11/2 and haven't heard a thing.

Anyone else having trouble logging in to the status checker? Could this be a sign that a wave of interview emails are about to go out? maybe? :P
