It makes sense for schools to admit as many qualified applicants through the ED process as possible for two reasons: 1) they are bound to the school, so you don't have to offer them any money (increase in revenue); 2) increase the retention rate.susanlata wrote:Also curious about the ED acceptance rate. Or they just admit as many as qualified applicants, which means fewer seats for RD if a lot in via ED?

Had a CLS interview recently.
Pretty standard, included "Why Law" and "Why CLS" but was otherwise pretty conversational and we talked about where I see myself in 5 years and then where I see myself after that. They did ask a question about a blemish in my application which was unsurprising, so be prepared to explain any aberrations (transfers, low LSAT, low GPA, unusual work history, etc.). It was pretty laid back though and my interviewer even cracked a couple of jokes.
Overall one of the more comfortable interviews I've had so far which surprised me. 10/10, would recommend.

I wouldn't expect any CLS decisions other than ED until January.darthslughorn wrote:Good to hear. Hopefully decisions come soon, CLS hype has really started now.benwyatt wrote:Had a CLS interview recently.

Columbia app went complete on 11/13 and I applied ED. Any thoughts on when I might hear back?

It could be as late as end of December.
I submitted on 10/28, interviewed on 11/20 and admitted this morning (DL sent on Nov 30)! Also ED. Good luck!

Just received an invitation to interview with CLS. Quick question for anyone who's also signing up: are the times always in EST? I'm on the west coast and am assuming that I'll be interviewing three hours before my interview slot indicates, but I'll feel pretty foolish if it turns out that the site was adjusting to reflect my location.
