How many single moms go to law school? All law schools try to admit a well-rounded class. Since a bunch of people going to law school are straight from undergrad (30-40% usually) you've got unique experiences to bring to the table. Plus it's extremely admirable to be pursuing something as difficult as this while also juggling the huge responsibility of raising a child. Schools like Berkeley are holistic and they take this into account. Don't sell yourself short, you sound amazing.

Did you write about it in your PS? I hope so...
yes. wrote about it. I am actually proud of my personal statement. It turned out great. Thank You for the vote of confidence. :-)

In via email two days ago! Reverse splitter, non-URM. PM for stats.
Very excited about this offer -- my top choice! Yay!

Has anyone who was accepted on Friday received the information to get into the admitted students website?

applied 1/4, UR since 1/12. Splitter LSAT>75th, GPA=25th

People with similar application dates already heard back from admissions.....doesn't look good.

I bet (but am not sure, because berkeley is a bit of a black box) it's not too late to get admitted. For what it's worth: From what I understand the addcom accepts obvious admits quick. borderline candidates go to faculty review.

Faculty review isn't ideal, but it's not so bad either

I can't find the link, but I saw a chart of admit dates somewhere and even though there were a significant number of admits done by end of December, everything pretty much came to a halt in Jan followed by another huge wave of admits in Feb.

Nothing on my end either. I think I read in the admitted thread it took between 5 days and two weeks though. C'mon Berk!

Was gonna NOT apply to Berkeley but now thinking I might as well see what comes of it--which leads me to this question: is it too late? Deadline is Feb 1 but their website says I have to make sure my app "reaches the admissions office" by then. And though LSAC promptly notifies the school once you apply to it, it usually takes a while for them (around a week, I think) to actually receive it. Probably an unusual question but anyone know?

I think you will be at a disadvantage applying now, that said if you apply now you should be OK beating the deadline. Applying online (presuming that LSAC has your LSAT score, LORs and transcripts) should get the application sent over in a day or so.

In my experience Berkeley got the application to completed status the day after applying.

Is that when Faculty Review starts? Or the next round of decisions?

That's when the FR emails said a decision would be reached for those of us who were exiled there.

When do we find out if we are part of the apps pushed to FR2?

Yes, same date. I'm expecting a ding on or shortly after 2/6, to be honest.
