Whoa, thanks for the heads up! This is like, super inside information. Next time you're in there, mind checking to see if my app fell behind one of the desks?

Or sneak mine onto the top of the "acceptance" pile?pylon wrote:Whoa, thanks for the heads up! This is like, super inside information. Next time you're in there, mind checking to see if my app fell behind one of the desks?

Or poke them in the eye, make them temporarily blind so they won't see the weaknesses in my app and accidentally accept me?tk17 wrote:Or sneak mine onto the top of the "acceptance" pile?pylon wrote:Whoa, thanks for the heads up! "Calls! Calls! Calls! Calls!" I chant, alone.
EDIT: I know what kind of law I want to practice: law school applicant advocacy. I advocate for transparency via social media and changes in laws and regulations so that applicants have a clue what is going on while they are waiting.

Imagine using this as a response to a Why Law question in an interview ahaharavel wrote:EDIT: I know what kind of law I want to practice: law school applicant advocacy. Reporting late, but got the call on the 13th! 4.0/169, non-URM, applied in the first week of October. 1yr WE & grad degree, strong softs w/ emphasis on public service throughout. For all those with an LSAT on the lower end of the spectrum, this proves they really do take a holistic approach to the application process--so don't lose hope!

Congrats! Although speaking as someone with good numbers and weak softs this is not an encouraging proof

Mean ol' Stanford is the only school that hasn't given me a status checker/application being processed email yet. I know January 7 is a late time to apply but c'mon Stanford, at least pretend you're looking at my app.

Same dates here and I don't have an SC yet either. I'm telling myself that if they haven't even looked at my app yet, then they definitely haven't dinged me yet. Has anyone had trouble accessing their status checker? It always says it doesn't recognize my username, which I know is correct

The one that shows up most often through google is their graduate law status checker (LLMs and such), so it doesn't work. Access the link through either the JD admissions page or through the email.huskies2015 wrote:Has anyone had trouble accessing their status checker? Randomly got a letter today with with an application for a fee waiver and all stuff about the Hispanic student association. I'm Hispanic but not a URM but if they're gonna give me a waiver I'll give it a shot.

Wow I didn't know Stanford gave out fee waivers! You should definitely use it. Sounds like an application for their need-based waiver though, no?musedreverie wrote:Wow I didn't know Stanford gave out fee waivers! You should definitely use it. When YHS start sending out fee waivers, then we will truly know the sky is falling in the law school admissions world.

When is Stanford's ASW? I don't want to make any plans that could potentially conflict (being optimistic!)

Sorry if I bothered anyone, I just have to make a lot of plans for the spring and didn't want to regret not taking potential ASWs into account, no matter how slim the chance is.jawsjawsjaws wrote:Mack.Hambleton wrote:bit audacious thereFitz52917 wrote:When is Stanford's ASW? I cannot imagine you angered anyone, that was just a joke (I believe).Fitz52917 wrote:Sorry if I bothered anyone, I just have to make a lot of plans for the spring and didn't want to regret not taking potential ASWs into account, no matter how slim the chance is.jawsjawsjaws wrote:Mack.Hambleton wrote:bit audacious thereFitz52917 wrote:When is Stanford's ASW?
