Congrats, all! So these acceptances are seemingly all people who didn't interview right? Maybe interviewees have to wait a little longer like last cycle?

Abrupt topic shift: interviewed today. Much more conversational than UChicago, and more geared toward my resume. Actually pretty much exclusively resume-based, and other questions about my recommenders, essays, etc. Didn't get any 'biggest achievement' or 'how would coworkers describe you', not even why law or why Columbia. It even sounded like some questions were relayed directly from adcomms. 'One person had a question about x.'

Overall impression was that they wanted more info on a borderline candidate, which numerically I am. They knew my app inside and out, which was great, but they'd zeroed right in on my app's weird spots and gave me a chance to justify them. We'll see how well I did that in 'a few weeks or so'. Fun interview either way.

So consensus is we should expect to hear back in 2 weeks after our interview if we're accepted?

I only interviewed less than a week ago so that's what I'm telling myself right now :P

Glad that they switched to email though and hope the wave continues tomorrow!

6:06PM ET
Very exact, spasibo.

The exact time was for historical purposes. I can only assume the TLS neuroticism will only increase with future generations. ;)

Also, to clarify, I was admitted and did interview the week of 1/5. :)

+1

What a tease to send out a small number of acceptance letters last night at 6pm and then not follow it up the next morning.

Did anyone's acceptance letter say anything about when the admitted students weekend would be?

Both directly before NYU's admitted students days. Great for travel plans. It makes me happy when people (institutions) are smart and efficient.

It seems like they actually overlap a day?

I don't know how I feel about that

Any info on stipends?

Drat, you're right. But only for the first option. The respective second options don't overlap.

ETA: I don't know anything about stipends. Sorry.
