They're particularly well known for placing people in PI jobs, they have a very high employment percentage, and they have a fantastic LRAP. If you were PI dedicated, you had a pretty specific idea of an attainable, and satisfactory, quality of life in the PI field after graduation, and you didn't expect better offers, I could see paying for NYU at sticker. That's a wager with relatively good odds, though it has a severe downside if the bet doesn't pan out.james.bungles wrote:I'm assuming you have 300,000+ dollars to pay for it too

Sirs, I think that you both will find MY e-peen to be much, MUCH larger than either of yours. The brainers I get make all the blood rush out of my legs and put me in a wheelchair.
Please keep it up though. Y'all are funny as balls. Offhandedly, anonymously telling other people about how shitty their aspirations are is great right until a bunch of us get accepted together and someone "accidentally" loans you the wrong set of notes for your 1L finals! Cheers!
Oh, and just in case, please love the Stynky, everyone. Please, please love me enough to loan me the right set of notes.

Re: NYU c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
Aww come on guys. It is true that unless someone is planning for PI and a LRAP, it is a financially stupid decision to ED NYU (if you are financing it with loans), even more so when your numbers could've got you big money at a lower ranked t14 and also an acceptance to NYU RD. BUT, this is not the only consideration. If someone really and truly would go to only go to NYU for law school and nowhere else even if its a T14 with a full ride, then let them ED.MistakenGenius wrote:I don't even know who you are but just shut the fuck up. James is doing a good thing. Maybe some EDers fully considered their decision but there are some out there who dont. Some people try and use ED as a way to get out of retaking, or they are preftige whores who would rather pay sticker at CCN than a six figure scholarship from DCNG.

Sorry for interrupting the argument on EDer, but will there be a snail mail sent with the decision? I have DLS and ASW but might miss the phone call.....

Pretty sure DLS refers to an actual mailed letter. I'm sure the first people to receive theirs will post when it comes in.

I might be wrong, but I think the decision letter sent refers to a snail mail letter. At least that's what I gathered from the phone call. But they left me a message so I wouldn't be too worried about missing it.aka_tt wrote:Sorry for interrupting the argument on EDer, but will there be a snail mail sent with the decision? I believe we confirmed earlier that it will not contain an actual pizza. And yes, that's not how it should be.pylon wrote:yummjames.bungles wrote:yes you will get a pizza box

Last year the first acceptances got a letter first saying "expect more to come".... then in January (around the 3rd) they got the pizza box. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same this year.james.bungles wrote:yes you will get a pizza boxaka_tt wrote:Sorry for interrupting the argument on EDer, but will there be a snail mail sent with the decision? Is that a pic from previous years? Doesn't the first letter come in a purple envelope?

Pretty sure this is the infamous pizza box + non-pizza contents that follows the initial letter. And yeah, this year's will presumably say c/o 2018.

Nope. I haven't been called either. Then again, I work underground without a cell signal, so that's probably why.butSeriously wrote:Just putting it out there: am I the only 12/1 DLS without a call here?

You and I have interesting jobs Detroit; we're talking if we wind up at NYU.DetroitRed wrote: Nope. I haven't been called either. Then again, I work underground without a cell signal, so that's probably why.
Also, are they putting pple with WE last in line? It would make a little bit of sense to me, given there may be timing considerations at play.
This is me assuming that 12/1DLS+ASW => Admitted; please let me be right. : )
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
