I'm as debt-averse as the next guy, but it seems to me that if you're going to pay sticker someplace, NYU can make sense. They're particularly well known for placing people in PI jobs, they have a very high employment percentage, and they have a fantastic LRAP. If you were PI dedicated, you had a pretty specific idea of an attainable, and satisfactory, quality of life in the PI field after graduation, and you didn't expect better offers, I could see paying for NYU at sticker. That's a wager with relatively good odds, though it has a severe downside if the bet doesn't pan out.

Or am I wrong?

Hate to tell you this, but a lot of these people are smarter than you and have made their decisions. They've considered the consequences and took what they felt was the best option. You trying to put down their decisions is not only obnoxious, but also completely unhelpful since they already did do ED. I've already gotten into law schools, but your asinine little rude remarks have pissed me off. Get the hell off these peoples' backs and worry about your own damn cycle.

Aww come on guys. It is true that unless someone is planning for PI and a LRAP, it is a financially stupid decision to ED NYU (if you are financing it with loans), even more so when your numbers could've got you big money at a lower ranked t14 and also an acceptance to NYU RD. BUT, this is not the only consideration. If someone really and truly would go to only go to NYU for law school and nowhere else even if its a T14 with a full ride, then let them ED.

James is doing a good thing. Maybe some EDers fully considered their decision but there are some out there who dont. Some people try and use ED as a way to get out of retaking, or they are preftige whores who would rather pay sticker at CCN than a six figure scholarship from DCNG.

I might be wrong, but I think the decision letter sent refers to a snail mail letter. At least that's what I gathered from the phone call. But they left me a message so I wouldn't be too worried about missing it.

Last year the first acceptances got a letter first saying "expect more to come".... then in January (around the 3rd) they got the pizza box. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same this year.

You and I have interesting jobs Detroit; we're talking if we wind up at NYU.

Also, are they putting pple with WE last in line? It would make a little bit of sense to me, given there may be timing considerations at play.

This is me assuming that 12/1DLS+ASW => Admitted; please let me be right. : )
