So looks like there will be nothing to obsess over vis-a-vis status checker.

All of the on-campus and Skype interview time slots appear unavailable/filled. Anyone else notice this? Do you think they'll add more after the holidays?

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
any merit fee waivers after dec 1?
The website says they do these interviews only till Jan 16th. Not sure they would do it at all now that the last date is only 20 days away with holidays in the middle.anon52319 wrote:All of the on-campus and Skype interview time slots appear unavailable/filled. Starting September 15, 2014, Skype interviews will be available every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, except on university holidays, through January 16, 2015. Additional Skype slots will be added periodically throughout the cycle, so we recommend checking availability regularly.

I sent my application in 12/17 (via LSAC) and haven't received a confirmation email or status checker email. Should I be worried?

No, they're on holidays. If you hear nothing by Mid-January, then get nervous

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
So I'm almost ready to get my app in - but hesitating on interviews. I do want to do one, but it seems like my odds of grabbing a spot between now and 1/16 are unlikely.
Should I go ahead and just apply now and check 'No Interview' - and then update if I do manage to snag a spot?
Or check 'Yes' to the interview and hope I don't waste another 10 days of potential review time?

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
FWIW, I ended up submitting in early December after waiting like 2 weeks to see if a Skype interview time would open up... Have checked periodically since then and nothing. I'd definitely submit with "No Interview" to get the app in and then try to see if something becomes available.secadc11 wrote:So I'm almost ready to get my app in - but hesitating on interviews. On a separate note, I also haven't received acknowledgement of my app or my status checker. In a way, I think it's a good thing (assuming they've actually received it) because at least I can't obsessively check the page every hour.

Had my alumni interview in early November and have been sitting at complete since 11/12 .. my numbers aren't particularly high at all for NU, which is why I'm wondering why it's taking longer than I expected to receive a decision.

I'm at lsat 50th percentile and above gpa 75th and have also been at my same complete date after the interview since mid-November. There don't seem to have been many decisions yet other than ED, so hopefully we get an update soon!diva857 wrote:Had my alumni interview in early November and have been sitting at complete since 11/12 .. my numbers aren't particularly high at all for NU, which is why I'm wondering why it's taking longer than I expected to receive a decision.

I applied AJD. Will I have to wait until after Jan 31 (when AJD is due)? I wonder if AJD is rolling admissions or do they review as a group once they're all turned in.

(3) The Admissions Committee begins reviewing Two-Year JD applications in early February. Two-Year JD applicants will receive decisions beginning in April.
Edit: Two Year JD and AJD are different.

2 year JD and AJD are two different programs. The AJD chat they said admission decisions would start coming sometime after the new year. So should be pretty soon!lc39 wrote:From NU's decision letter delivery system: https://www.law.northwestern.edu/form/a ... _entry.cfmDiniMae wrote:I applied AJD. I emailed admissions, and they're not offering any more skype interviews after January, so go ahead and submit!secadc11 wrote:So I'm almost ready to get my app in - but hesitating on interviews. I do want to do one, but it seems like my odds of grabbing a spot between now and 1/16 are unlikely.

Agreed - if you get in, you're in. If you don't, you won't. If you get waitlisted, you'll have the opportunity to interview offered, so there's nothing to lose at this point.idissent wrote:I emailed admissions, and they're not offering any more skype interviews after January, so go ahead and submit!secadc11 wrote:So I'm almost ready to get my app in - but hesitating on interviews. Just realized I spam-mailed their UG admissions over the past month. Pretty sure they think I'm brain damaged and have killed all chances at admissions amirite.
