I think I was admitted around then; I got mine at least a week ago (also in NYC).bfc2013 wrote:Has anyone admitted on 1/15 received the admissions package? Still waiting here in NYC.
Also, my status checker has three blank mailings: 1/17, 1/27, 1/28. Any idea what this means?

I just had my alumni interview yesterday and I swear my "complete" date jumped backward from January to what it was originally in December...has this happened to anyone else?

Yup, the exact same thing happened to me. I had my interview 2 weeks ago, which I think went very well. Still waiting though lolvivala wrote:I just had my alumni interview yesterday and I swear my "complete" date jumped backward from January to what it was originally in December...has this happened to anyone else?

Next week will be 3 months with no movement for Team 11/6. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Normally Thursday and Friday are the big releases. You can take a look at LSN from 2012-13 and sort by decision date, then pull up a calendar for that month and see what days the batches are on. This year has been the same, lots of Thursday and Friday releases. Too much time on my hands!pompoms wrote:Hoping! Is Friday usually a decision day?tomjones wrote:+1terrapinjetta wrote:That's brutal. They seem to be far behind last year (as does Georgetown); I'm not sure if this is because of D.C. weather this year or what. I hope our decisions come soon, because I'm pretty much psychologically paralyzed right now. How can I start deciding what school to go to if I don't know what schools I'm getting into? I don't want to get all excited about something and then get let down.

You should get into GW - I have the same numbers and got in yest. Hopefully today is the day for you. Where else are you applying?

UF - I'm recently a FL resident, and they gave me a 75% scholly, so it might be too good to pass up, especially since I want to stay in FL long term, I thinkuncreative wrote:terrapinjetta wrote: I hope our decisions come soon, because I'm pretty much psychologically paralyzed right now. Miami - accepted, but not going to go
American - rejected. Thought I might be waitlisted, not rejected. Was never going to go anyway.
GW - applied 12/10... waiting...
GULC - applied 12/10... waiting...
I'd like to do public interest, and with the GW and GULC (especially GULC) LRAP programs, and PILS, and IBR, it might (just maybe) be worth it to go to one of these schools even with a large debt load. UF would be cheap, but it doesn't really have a public interest focus, nor does it have an LRAP program. Then of course, part of me just wants to go to the most prestigious school I can get into.
Decisions decisions! How about you? Where are you applying?

Re: George Washington C/O 2017
Sounds like a solid plan.
I live in DC and would like to stay here so I'm hoping either GW comes through with $$ for me or GULC lets me in. Still not sure how I'd feel about GULC at sticker over GW with $$, but that would be a nice decision to have to make at this point. Applied to GULC, GW, ND, NW, Duke, Cornell, UVA, Vandy, WUSTL, BC, American, Columbia, and UT. Not even sure why anymore, but figured it'd be good to have options - esp if one of the reaches works out.
