I applied October 31 and was moved to the Regular Decision pool on November 12.

No worries, you've got good numbers, I'm sure you'll have some really good and competitive offers. If it is any condolences I've been WL at all my safeties that have given me decisions so far!

Does anyone else appreciate the fact that Texas seemingly reviews and releases decisions in order of complete date? It seems like no other school really does this.

Very true. I've seen some of their WL decisions and it blows me away. I'm sure Austin is great but I'm a northerner at heart so I'll live!

I think that, since 65% of the class must be in state (or something like that), they don't lollygag around since they've got quotas to meet.

I'm only 3.5/163. Thought I'd have a shot though as an In-state URM applying ED.
At least I already have UH and SMU w/ $. Wanted UT though. Oh well.

Thanks! I know for those of us accepted they want a LOCI eventually, I'd definitely recommend sending one in if you're on the WL as well!

For anyone who is out of state: If you receive a request to write a "Why Texas" and choose not to do so then you can pretty much 100% expect a rejection. Idk if this has been covered already in the thread, but Dean Ingram has spoken pretty clearly about it. If you want to get in, write it.

Applied 1/4...had nothing except an email confirming that they have received my application...should I be worried or at least call them to see what the hell is going on in Austin...?
