Checking in: I submitted my application the 18th, and my status checker just changed to "Complete" about 15 minutes ago.

Basically, for anyone whose app was completed at 9/30 for before, if we are still without js1, that means we are basically waitlisted or rejected right? Even with decent numbers?

JS1 invite this afternoon as well!! So excited!
I submitted in late September and went complete the first week of October, so it seems like they aren't sending out JS1s strictly based on the order of submission/completion dates.

I am in the exact same boat, and praying like mad for a miracle. But based on past data, it seems that our chances of getting JS1 before the first round of decisions are very minimal given that they should have processed all the September applications already and if they haven't given us js1 at this point, then it is probably because they have have decided to either to waitlist or reject.christobel wrote:Why do you say this? I'd give it at least until tomorrow (Friday) before you start worrying about it. And then even after that, it's so early seems like you could easily still get in during the regular admission cycle before being rejected or waitlisted.hcrimson2014 wrote:I am in the exact same boat, and praying like mad for a miracle. I submitted in October and all of my hopes and dreams are based on this school... and yet somehow I'm oddly calm with it. After I hit submit it's like my priorities shifted since I know there's nothing left to do. Maybe it also helps that I'm not lacking things to worry about outside of this year's cycle lol.

I think it's a bit early to start being so negative.hcrimson2014 wrote:Basically, for anyone whose app was completed at 9/30 for before, if we are still without js1, that means we are basically waitlisted or rejected right? Even with decent numbers?

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Check out my post on the previous page. People from the first round of completes last year got invites for JS1 all throughout November. After that, maybe you could expect a Hold, but even then it's possible. There is no reason for you to be freaking outhcrimson2014 wrote:I am in the exact same boat, and praying like mad for a miracle. I posted this info about 2 pages ago, but TLS JS1 invites for last cycle came out:gottago wrote:
All throughout Nov? I thought it was one batch of JS1s, JS2 around xgiving, then JS1s? Did JS1s come out on consecutive weeks last year?
10/31
11/2
11/8
11/19
11/28
11/29
12/10
12/11
12/12
12/21
Obviously a ton more after that, but that's all that I cared to track.

When do you think the first decisions will be sent out? Earlier than last year?lastsamurai wrote:I posted this info about 2 pages ago, but TLS JS1 invites for last cycle came out:gottago wrote:

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
My completely uninformed guess is that they realized the Skype interviews were more time intensive than they thought last year, and are accordingly spacing them out more this year. In this scenario decisions would still come out at the same time.
But I really have no idea.

Got JS1, I was freaking out so badly before because many people who have submitted their app after my completion have gotten their invites and I was at the point of losing all hope before getting the email this morning.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
