I've received them all from other schools but WUSTL..
It's been about a month since the admit.
also no scholly info.. anyone?
Haven't received any mailings other than just a hard copy of the acceptance letter about 3 weeks after admission.

I think packets with more admitted student info and what not might come in late Jan or February, before the March 7 ASW at least.

The second batch of scholly info has been dragging its feet. You're not alone. Keep in mind that the first batch last year came in late Feb, so overall they're picking up the pace. I know it is hard to wait none the less.

I haven't received any hard copies either after a month. I'm curious as to when they will inform of scholarship info.

I just wish they'd let me know. WUStL would be a very very strong contender against Texas with some good $.

I havn't even received a hard copy of the acceptance letter. nothing. na-da.
Did my letter get lost somewhere btwn pacific ocean? :(
Hmm I wouldn't worry too much really, email is by far they're primary communication tool. For what it's worth, I'm a local so mail would get to me pretty quick.

Generally, keep in mind that the holidays, Dec LSAT applicants, and our strangely severe weather recently may be slowing things down. Just a thought. But really, looking at previous years' threads, this year is still on schedule. So I knew everyone is chomping at the bit, but try to distract yourself, it'll all happen in the next few months one way or another.

I know it's tough, you obviously need the $ info to make your choice. It'll happen though! I imagine 3-6 weeks tops.

Same as above, looking to previous years, there has been the biggest scholarship info distribution in late February. So it's still early, and I think 3-6 weeks is a reasonable guess.

Question for Fiero or Sublime or anyone else familiar with the area that may want to answer. What neighborhoods are good to look for an apartment in close to the law school? I am married with kids so maybe something at least somewhat family friendly. I am leaning towards WASHU and need to start looking in to this. Thanks in advance for your help.

There are apartments in the Loop that are okay, but those are probably best for younger single students. CWE is okay, but it's kind of far if you're trying to drive. There are a lot of great deals in Clayton and Dogtown for nicer houses that seem better for families and the neighborhoods are much better. Neither are far from the law school by car. The only reason most students don't live in those areas is because they're heavily suburban, so you miss out on the bars/clubs that are in the Loop and CWE.

Agreed. For single people I would say CWE or the Loop., but for families/people looking for actual homes go with Clayton/Brentwood for close suburban living. For smaller city homes try Dogtown or Tower Grove.

Further away in west and south st Louis county (where I live now) there is true suburbia with a variety of price levels and lot sizes, but it's a further drive. I currently work in Clayton and it's a great place to live by all accounts. Almost everyone I work with lives in Clayton/Brentwood or Webster Groves (another close place to check out).

Good luck with your search!

Edit: this applies to apartments too, sorry I forgot to specifically address it that way

No you have all been very helpful and I appreciate that. It gives me a good starting point. I don't mind being out a few miles at all but price is the most important issue since I won't be working.

Did any other admitted students just get that email about matching us with current students and faculty?

I did. Got an email shortly after from the student whom I was matched with, they also went to my UG. Nice touch!
