Re: Davis c/o 2016
Hello- I am a recent admit (in as of last week) and I was told by someone in the admissions office that scholarship info would likely be going out "early this week" and I was curious to know if anyone admitted around that time has heard anything?

I got in as of this morning. If you read earlier in the thread, someone helpfully posted these directions to view your award letter. It practically takes a PhD. Notice that once you create your login, you need to wait 10-15 minutes for it to work. My award letter was there. Hope this helps.PoolToSchool wrote:Hello- I am a recent admit (in as of last week) and I was told by someone in the admissions office that scholarship info would likely be going out "early this week" and I was curious to know if anyone admitted around that time has heard anything?

Thanks for the step by step instructions- don't want to make it too easy to find, do they? Did you have merit aid info show up here or is it just general financial aid (loans)?
Also, I was not waitlisted I just had not gotten an answer until recently. Good luck- I'm on a number of waitlists myself and that business is just cruel

Re: Davis c/o 2016
Just got a text that I've been admitted off the WL. Never sent any additional information or LOCI. In the early part of the cycle Davis was really one of my top choices, but now that I've spent some time checking out the schools I've already been admitted to idk anymore. :S Definitely not going for full price though...

Just got an e-mail inviting me to an admitted students event in SF. Was WL'd back in early March. Logged into status checker and found an accept letter dated May 2.
Not likely to attend, but am still kind of disappointed I didn't get the text-message accept.

I enjoyed reading this with the dancing banana accompaniment. And you may get a text later. I got mine like a month after my status changed.bananasplit19 wrote:Just got an e-mail inviting me to an admitted students event in SF. Was WL'd back in early March. Just got in yesterday off the waitlist! Very excited though I need to take a long visit to Davis before I make a final decision. Is anyone else stressed out about housing? The on campus private housing they suggest on the website is full for both options and I don't know the Davis area at all. What is everyone else doing?

Not going to King Hall, but I went to Davis for undergrad and have lived there for the past 4-5 years. Don't stress, housing is cheap and plenty.slucas8 wrote:Just got in yesterday off the waitlist! Re: Davis c/o 2016
I personally did not get mine until after I had withdrawn and called them asking about scholarship and financial aid and etc. I would hope it would be different since you got off the waitlist, but chances are it would take a while. I think if you told them you needed to understand your financial situation before attending they would let you hold out until you find out your aid package before making you deposit.ManoftheHour wrote:How long did you guys have to wait to get your scholly info/financial aid letter?

Seriously. This makes me like not want to go. Some schools just sent me an email about my aid. Wth is so hard about that?RedGiant wrote:I got in as of this morning. I'll withdraw as soon as I see my aid. While I know I'm not going, no matter what, I think it's unwise to make a decision without seeing all of the contents of the options first.laytay wrote:To anyone who is pretty sure you will not attend, keep those of us who are still waitlisted, hopeful and really want to attend but need an answer soon in mind pretty pleaseManoftheHour wrote:Lmao. Update: Received an email for a scholarship offer of $20,000/year. Stats: 3.6/162. I withdrew as I will be reapplying next year. Just trying to give some of you out there some hope.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
