Thanks for the reply, it adds some color to my current situation. What are you thinking with regards to Cardozo v Brooklyn? I have friends who are 3rd year at both schools and they've both told me "Go to whichever gives the most money".
jokes.
Cardozo will always give less money than Brooklyn because they know where they stand.
saying "Go to whichever gives the most money" is the same as saying "Go to Brooklyn."

They slapped another $8K on top of my offer leaving me at $48K. That's so hard to turn down.

The "bookstore" is on the 2nd floor (more like a book closet). There's shirts and stuff in there.

Cardozo is giving me 10k more than Brooklyn and Brooklyn is refusing to negotiate.

o.O okay well you are definitely the exception to the rule just based on the sheer number of profiles on LSN which have people who applied to both schools and got less money from dozo.
By the way, has anyone tried a round 2 of negotiations?

On the negotiations:
I was originally offered 18K to Cardozo, 20K to Wake Forest, 41K to Brooklyn, and some others that I stopped considering. Cardozo then bumped up my offer to 30K without me asking. Is it worth it to email them my brooklyn offer or do they not negotiate based on brooklyn offers? Also, would it be worth it to send them the wake offer (not as much, but ranked almost 20 spots higher). Could either of those make a difference? Thoughts?

I say it's always worth it to send other offers because the most they can do is say no. I would definitely send the Brooklyn offer, but idk about Wake Forest because it isn't much compared to what Dozo offered. They negotiated with my Brooklyn offer of $41,000 and came up from $25,000 per year to $32,000 per year. It isnt much but it's better than nothing.

Thanks! Did you email or call? I have heard of people sending directly to the dean or just general admissions.

for those who got their $$ increased, what did you write in your emails and did you need to send documentation? I got 25k/yr at Dozo and 41k at BLS. If Dozo matches BLS, im hands-down going to Dozo. If they don't crack 35k, i think ill have to write them off completely.
Also, how long did they take to respond when they increased their offer?

did you ask for an increase or did you ask for an award in the first place?

I'm probably going to withdraw my 40k/year soon, so maybe wait it out after the deposit deadline!

I would wait it out...I literally just got an email yesterday from Dozo telling me to apply and that they'd expedite my app for scholarship considerations. Trust me they have money, just wait until their medians/class clear up a little and then re-negotiate

for those of you waiting out more money, do you still submit the April 15th seat deposit?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
