Got my acceptance today!! I'm in Southern California so it had to make a trek to get here. I did an interview and had my last update on the 31st.
Wishing everyone waiting patience and good news soon!

Congrats. When was your interview, and how many updates did you have after? Had my interview on 10/23 got an update 10/25, and it has been silence since. ED app, btw. Congrats again, good luck with the rest of your cycle.

Thanks! Had two updates immediately after the interview (had the interview on Friday 10/19, updates on Monday 10/22 and Tuesday 10/23) with the last update on 10/31. I'm RD; hopefully you'll hear soon.

I was waiting on my fee waiver to be approved. It was, so I decided to cast a wider net.

Anyone out there with 11/2 update? This is my 3rd update (10/17, 10/23, 11/2, submitted 10/12 with all materials). I needed an address changed for all schools I applied to though, so this could be the cause of that update. But I had the address changed for all my apps and only G'town changed the status date. I think this is my actual 3rd update, but I would like to know if anyone else got an update on that day...

Unless GULC is participating in American University style YP this year, shntn has an acceptance letter with a full scholly waiting for him at home.

American can afford to practice YP?
Also shntn's going to HYS anyway.

Got schooled on this earlier.
Well, probably H or S. Too stingy to apply to Y.

Anyone else receive an e-mail saying the decision had been delayed until the committee had a better sense of this year's applicant pool? Not a good sign.

Like nordi, I also just got the deferral E-mail for early applicants. Final decision to be rendered by the end of February.
"Please be aware that only a small number of early applicants have had their applications held, and a number of those applicants in past years have subsequently been admitted."
WTH does this really mean?
Is this substantively different from getting waitlisted?
How many people does this happen to each cycle?
Does anyone have a breakdown of how many deferrals actually turn into admits?
Finally, is there anything I can do to help my case? I was considering E-mailing them and letting them know I would now like to be considered for both the full- and part-time programs (I originally just indicated full-time).
Might this bump me into part-time admit territory, or will this just look like bad judgment and end up hurting?
Any thoughts are appreciated in this sticky, frustrating matter.

Just received my acceptance letter today! Kinda weird that I didn't receive an email or a status update, other than 'complete' on 11/2, but excited nonetheless

Just got the deferral e mail. Hoping that this works out for us in the end. Not sure if this is the same as a wait list, but it least it is not a rejection. Congrats to those admitted, and good luck to those of us who haven't. Cheers.

Bummer Manhattan. I think the deferral is better then the waitlist. Good luck, I think they are going to have a shallow pool of applicants again this year and you have a good shot of being accepted later in the cycle.
