All-in-all, cheap housing is possible if you're willing to live farther away, the subway system does suck for commuting to manhattan from brooklyn, and I will definitely move to manhattan if when I am accepted to NYU.

submitted 11/2, UR 11/6 ...no chance since. mean anything?

not enough info to tell at this point. a lot of people have been stuck UR since Nov. while others have seen their statuses updated to UR in Dec.

Hmmm.. I'm still UR in November (I think I had two dates already, I'm not sure). I submitted on day one. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I'm also still UR in November. I'm choosing to read into it that NYU has been decided about us since November and they have just been lazy about sending us our acceptances.

Keep in mind that I applied ED, and last year the ED acceptances came out, what? The week before RD ones?

They definitely come in batches. If you applied ED, and 1.5-2 weeks go by and you haven't heard, you've probably been deferred to RD or rejected.

Could DLS go both ways, or is it usually an accept?

From what I've gathered, this early it's usually an accept. And apparently deferrals have come by email in past years. Rejections, I don't know. I'd be a little surprised if I was outright rejected given that my LSAT is a bit above their median and I applied ED, but I don't want to get my hopes up unduly.

DLS is always an accept this early, based on past cycles. Rejections don't start until January. Waitlists don't happen until April

so ive been lookng at lsn and surprising a couple of people who are not URM do get in with both lsats and gpa below the 25th percentile. moreover, at my school, my advisor ha this big binder of ppls stats from my school who got in and a few do get in every year with gpa and lsat welllll below the 25th. so i know that it is mostly a numbers game, but i honestly dont think ppl should give up hope is ur numbers r lower. who knows!
