Nah i doubt it. It doesn't show UR2 so are you sure it wasn't changed twice?
Also they might have it reviewed it twice but maybe didn't change your status the first/second time.

I'm sure they give everyone a fair review

I don't know about Penn specifically, but I think generally it's fine to switch before you've gotten a decision.

I believe you can. I'd email the adcomm and ask for an ED agreement

You stay Under Committee Review, it's just the date that changes. The only way you will know if you are UCR2 is if you have been paying attention to the status date (though, in theory, you could have no date change if two people look at your app on the same day). If you get in, the status will change to "Offer of Admission" and the writing at the very top of the page will change to a congratulatory message.

Yeah i think so. Email them first asking. but personally I'd wait. RD decisions come in a week and acceptances come first. If you're not part of the first wave then I'd consider changing.

So for those of you who have already been through the process, what specifically does the status checker say when you go under UCR2? I am RD and went "Under Committee Review" about a week ago; will this simply change to "Under 2nd Committee Review" or something?

Have any of you other RD'ers already made it to UCR2? If so, when did you switch to UCR1, and then when did you go to UCR2 after that? All of the different types of statuses for the different schools are throwing me off and getting me worried (because, as was mentioned in the Berkeley thread, UCR is apparently a bad thing ).

RD - Submitted September. Under Committee Review 11/20; 12/7. It still says just Under Committee Review, I've just been obsessively checking my status online I am so anxious at this point. I would LOVE to go to Penn!
