I received an invitation to interview with the CRS director. Does anyone have any information regarding this interview?

An interview with Jasleen? She's really nice.mr.matt wrote:I received an invitation to interview with the CRS director. Does anyone have any information regarding this interview?

Just be prepared to articulate your interest in CRS, and to explain what you can bring to the table.

In as of yesterday via phone call from Dean Schwartz. He also mentioned the all expenses paid visit April 15. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the official acceptance letter and or scholarship info.

Question for everyone. How is UCLA doing their merit scholarship packages? I was accepted mid-January, less than a month after submitting my application, but have heard no word on scholarships. If you don't hear anything via phone, and an offer doesn't come in your acceptance letter, are you out of luck? Or, will more scholarships be offered in the next few months?

Thanks for the advice. Do you know if this interview is offered to all applicants who express an interest in CLS? To what end?xwing_redleader wrote:An interview with Jasleen? I can't say for certain, but it seems like most CRS applicants get to interview. Her decision holds weight with Admissions as well. She's not a decision maker, but her interest in a student makes a difference.mr.matt wrote:Thanks for the advice. The interview was very informal. Interviewed Friday, got admitted on next Monday.

Had a similar experience. She invited me out to the CRS/Law Review Symposium and introduced me to the CRS community. They treated everyone (including myself) like family, and they have a really great sense of community. It was surreal, but very exciting.cal7777 wrote:

Don't mind me. Just a 1L creeping on how things are going in this thread. Visit the school, it's great. Current students will be contacting admitted students in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we help.

When I was in HS I didn't even apply to UCLA because I assumed the campus would be trashy/unsafe/old/etc.ekbrown09 wrote:Toured the campus today. Absolutely beautiful! UCLA was kind of out of the mix for me but as of today it's definitely back in.
I visited it a couple of years ago and I couldn't have been more wrong. It is incredibly nice.
I think I want to go back and do a real tour. Of UCI too.

Re: UCLA 2011-2012 (class of 2015)
Hey guys I have some questions about the LOCI i just finished writing.
1.I'm aware it should be emailed to admissions, but is there any problem with CC'ing Dean Schwartz as well?
2. Is the subject title "Letter Of Continued Interest" good enough?
3.Should I attach the word doc OR copy and paste it to the email body. IF I attach, what should be in the body?
THanks in advance

Anyone got an idea? If it's already been determined that Ima pay sticker price I should start selling myself on the streets now...Trig9793 wrote:Question for everyone. 2) Yes
3) I would personally save it as a PDF file and send it that way

In the admitted students information email, it says to notify them of other offers. I was accepted in December without a scholarship. I just sent them an email last week, and he said they would get back to me soon. They haven't given me an offer yet, but I'm hoping 15,000/year at Michigan will at least get me something…kaveman wrote:Talk to them.
