Thanks guys! I know I got in by the skin of my teeth. She mentioned in the phone call that she remembered us chatting at the DC LSAC forum way back in June. Wow. That really speaks to her awesomeness as a dean.

After over a month of waiting for my app to be complete because of the deans letter (sent in an unacceptable letter to them at first) my app has finally been submitted for review!

lol, exact same thing happened to me. Ended up with a complete date in early November, despite submitting 10/1. I think that has removed me from consideration for the first batch.dolfan0516 wrote:After over a month of waiting for my app to be complete because of the deans letter (sent in an unacceptable letter to them at first) my app has finally been submitted for review!

Same here. Submitted late October, but didn't go complete until late November.poe wrote:lol, exact same thing happened to me. Ended up with a complete date in early November, despite submitting 10/1. Congratulations to all the acceptances today! I've been lurking around for a while, but thought I'd check in--got an email from Dean Deal today!
Now, perhaps I'm just being super paranoid, but a couple things seem off... an email was never sent to my primary email address, and I only received it in my secondary email account. Is that normal? Also, I wasn't at my phone when she called, but no voicemail was left, and I don't have caller ID to check if I missed any calls. Lastly, my status checker is still on the "Submitted for review" status, though I understand that is normal.
Am I in? Or should I be worried that it was a mistaken email?
That would suck.

You should ask her, "Are you sure?" I heard she loves that.omnivore wrote:Congratulations to all the acceptances today! I've been lurking around for a while, but thought I'd check in--got an email from Dean Deal today!

Congrats! I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Was your name in the body of the email? Then I most definitely wouldn't worry.omnivore wrote:Congratulations to all the acceptances today! I've been lurking around for a while, but thought I'd check in--got an email from Dean Deal today!

Out of curiosity, when was your app submitted for review? Trying to figure out where my 10/20 "submitted for review" date leaves me (I also experienced the dean's cert fiasco).

I sure hope you are right. I don't think I'll feel confident until my status checker status changes though... to answer your question, I have been under review since the first week of October.calitodc wrote:Congrats! Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
one of the recent posts -- where tls acceptance dates were juxtaposed against complete dates -- was very interesting. it seemed to suggest that while the earliest batches do correlate with sept/earlyoct complete dates, that correlation was de-stabalized quickly after.
regardless, you all should be thrilled that you aren't an early november submitter (and therefore early-mid nov completer) like i am! i'll have to wait a longgggggg time at this point :/
love seeing everyone start to get their acceptances though! keep rockin' it, guys.
