Based on prior years I don't think any movement will happen before March. By all means though I'd love for y'all to prove me wrong.. I was held for further review.

Am I just being arrogant, or does it seem like SMU isn't trying as hard as other schools to recruit? I'm getting way more feedback from the T-30's I've gotten in to. I had hoped to be "sold" more on staying in Dallas.

Mine changed to 1/23 and I have yet to see any further movement.

It has been "warm" here this winter. "Warm" = 32 degrees right now

Just checked my app status - Admitted. Hoping for some money so that I can afford it! For those of you who have already been admitted does scholarship info (if you get one) come along with the admissions packet, in a seperate mailing, or via e-mail?

Scholarship came with the admissions packet mailing for me.

Just checked my status checker and saw I was admitted as well. The scholarship money will be the determining factor though. I really need $30,000 a year but I'll probably get less than that.

Can you call SMU to find out the scholarship info if you have any? It worked for Tulane, but not sure SMU's policy on this.

Not 100% sure, but i've heard SMU is stingy about negotiating scholarships. I wouldn't expect them to release scholarship info over the phone either. Then again it couldn't hurt to try.

The admissions staff is really nice, but they don't release info over the phone, except for to say that there is something in the mail. Your scholarship info will be in your packet, which you should get soon(ish).

So does anyone know about the apartments owned by the law school next to the parking garage? Are they nice? I want to live as close to campus as possible, but the apartment building looks pretty old.

I'm a borderline prospect with 3.7/162 who is still sitting at 1/20 application complete.

Is my situation hopeless?

I wouldn't say hopeless at all. But I would say to settle in for a little bit of a wait.
