I didn't get anything...I applied for a named, but I haven't heard anything one way or the other about it.
dubya, did NYU literally email to say "we are giving you nothing"? Or was it that they didn't e-mail you?

Also, boooo on the April 4 deadline. Fingers crossed that Columbia deals with their "hold" list before then...

I've heard they're stingy, so any money is a good thing. FWIW, I got the same amount, but my stats are not nearly as good as yours.

Oh for those who are curious, I got $25,000 ($30,000 if doing PI) and they estimated I'd pay $1,700 per year. LSN info in profile.

For those of you who did NOT go to the financial sessions in the early ASW (or have not been yet) - the "estimated student contribution" (which has a floor of $1700/yr) is what they expect you to kick in while you're in school, and is based on expected summer earnings (both 1L and 2L year) over $15k as well as assets that you expect to have at the end of August. As far as I can tell, the most relevant use for this is if you plan to file for LRAP once you graduate (like me).
I am still "final stage of review". I submitted my NeedAccess on 26 Feb, but it didn't get processed until 2 Mar, so I'm definitely one of the latest.

So for the difference/gap, that's just basically gradplus loans, right? And these are easy to get even if you don't have a cosigner?

I haven't heard anything about anything yet. It sounded like dubya got mail from the way they phrased it.

Here is a screen shot that might help explain what everyone is saying about personal contribution, loans, and such.

Not that I've heard. I think Calla Lily asked the office and they said mid-March.

If you're ineligible for Stafford (or already counted those), then I believe so.

Dean's scholarships are of varying amounts apparently. Eski...we got the same offer if you're talking yearly. Last year less for everyone else too? They even expected us to have the same contribution eski.

Hmmm unimpressive award + a decision deadline before Chicago/Berkeley's ASW (classy). Morningside keeps looking up and up.

$0, boo. Wishing I hadn't dropped a bunch of money on going to their ASW now. Going to try to get them to match offers from other schools...

$0 here too. I sent them a rather large offer from another school already.

I haven't heard anything. That's what I get for applying for financial aid late

Anyone hear anything about area-specific scholarships?

Received via email this evening--entirely possible they aren't all out yet, all I know is they've started the invites for interviews.
