Sent my second and final desperate LOCI to Irvine today over nighted. Supposedly they are going to start deciding the 15ish seats they are giving out to waitlisters.

I'm not sure. Hopefully I'll get down for a visit next week and that will help me decide. I'm still hoping to hear from other schools both regular decision and off of waitlists.

Is anyone planning on moving to Irvine early? I want to start a lease around July 1st, off campus somewhere, possibly in a house.

It sounds like it is ... although they will most likely leave us hanging in case one or two people drop out late. Remember that they have required no deposits yet.

There are a lot of people riding out the UCLA and USC waitlists. Still hopeful.

Best of luck to those still holding out on the waitlist - I can't verify the statement that UCI is at capacity, but personally I'm hoping for all of you and would like to think that Irvine would want a few extra people with some serious UCI love. Fingers crossed!

Dear Waitlisted Student,

As you know, earlier this spring you were placed on our waitlist and I write to update you of your status. First, we appreciate your continued interest and patience during this period. Based upon the responses to date, our anticipated fall entering class is filled, nonetheless, it remains probable that changes may occur that suggest maintaining a waitlist is prudent. In which case, though we have begun to pare down our waitlist, we wish to continue to offer you waitlist status for this year’s entering class. However, even if UCI is your first choice, I would encourage you to protect your options for law school.

I anticipate that I’ll be able to update you of your status by mid-July. In the meantime, if you have not done so, you are welcome to submit any additional information (statement of interest, updated transcript, letters of recommendation or updated resume) to your application. Please send these items to me via email or mailed directly to the Admissions Office UCI Law School 401 E. Peltason Drive Irvine, CA 92697.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me. Also, if you have made other plans and no longer wish to remain on our waitlist, please inform me.
