Got my acceptance letter today... status checker says 1/25 DLS but letter was post marked 2/1. Don't freak out if you don't get your letter for a few days

Yes, despite the fact that I would like to be near family in Seattle I have a feeling I will be withdrawing from UW soon. The fact that scholarship money is almost nonexistent is a big part of that decision though.

Yes, despite the fact that I would like to be near family in Seattle I have a feeling I will be withdrawing from UW soon. The fact that scholarship money is almost nonexistent is a big part of that decision though.

The lack of $ seems to be a recurring theme this cycle from a lot of schools =/

Man, you have beast numbers. I don't think they have a student in that school with an LSAT as high as you. They are probably just seeing how much $$$ they can scrounge up to throw at you.

They've only been handing out acceptances for a few weeks (if that) besides the sporadic ones in December.

It's funny that you suggest that, because I have considered that same explanation, although mostly as a joke.

But, it is true that high LSATs like mine are rare outside of the T14. I hope they are not doubting my sincerity in wanting to attend; I even wrote them a nice "Why X" addendum because I anticipated that problem.

Barring a hail mary shot from NU or Boalt, I can say with 99.9% certainty I will be attending. I love Hastings (already sat in on a class...) but the UC system scares the shit out of me with all its instability (and California in general - I really like this state for everything except the economy/politics but those are really, really big detractors atm for me).

I love the decreased CoA for UCH --> UW also. I acknowledge that my chances for CA employment are definitely diminished from UW but I can live with the Seattle area.

There is also a decently large group of people who have been in review since 12/1. Right now it seems like people who are auto-admit are getting expedited through the process and everyone who is kind of in the middle is getting more thorough review.

Yea, congrats on that Minnesota acceptance BTW! It does scare me that UW has traditionally not rewarded splitters much.
