Ha, cool. Congrats...I went complete 1/12. You're lucky to have gone into review so quickly. They are definitely picking up the pace over there.

...the funny thing is I really don't have any interest in going to Villanova. I just want leverage on some other schools.

I just gave them a call. Apparently when you applied has absolutely nothing to do with when you go under review or when they give you a decision. Sounds like somehow they are batching them in groups and reviewing them. The lady on the phone was able to pull up my file and deduce that it was going to be "a couple of weeks" before I even go under review.

that's completely ridiculous and inconsistent because when i called (5 different times) they told me apps are supposed to be reviewed in the order they come in (hence, rolling admissions). of course that doesn't always work out if they need more time to review your app but the fact that people who went complete in november are still waiting to go into review is BS. so any of you who are still waiting should call and ask them what the hell is going on with your app. be proactive.

Complete 11/19 -> under review 2/16. Took a week off law school admissions to get my OCD under control. Needless to say this week was more productive than usual!

And what kind of numbers they look for in order to be competitive for them?

Maybe the slow response is a sign of good things to come? Weeding out the lower number first?

submitted app 1/3, review 1/26, waitlisted 2/13, per waitlist email - waitlisted applicants won't be reviewed again until June.

villanova has had a unique admissions cycle this year. I wouldnt be surprised if this is the last school to hear back from. Not only is the admission dept in a mess, but they have a lot of damage control to do. basically, i would just forget about this school, ( put it in your rankings where it is currently, and start focusing on narrowing down your school list from the ones you have heard back allready)

Complete 12/17 and went finally "In review" on 2/16. It looks like that they are finally getting their act together after they cleaned up the admissions office and brought in the new staff.

Right. Initially I just figured they were so backed up she looked at when I applied and was able to guess from the date I went complete. However, I went complete 12/17, and there are people who went complete earlier with no movement and people who went complete later with movement. Maybe its REVERSE rolling admissions?
