Re: University of Houston 2011
Hi everyone. I applied this month for the PT program. I went complete 3/4. I have a crappy GPA but a decent LSAT. I am settled in Houston, so I am really hoping for an acceptance. Good luck to everyone else waiting for a decision.

Hello fellow/future/potential UH folks! First post ever, created an account just to ask y'all a question
Does anyone know about how long it takes after one gets the acceptance letter/information to get any scholarship information. They only send a letter if you get scholarship/merit aid I assume, just wondering if a few weeks means I am not going to be lucky with the Cougars.
Thanks for any info y'all can give!

Do scholarships come separately from the admit letter?

In the admit letter they said if you get a scholarship they would send it in a separate letter. I am not sure if that means "two days later" or "two months later" though.brose wrote:Do scholarships come separately from the admit letter?

In as of 3/4. Anyone know how much the first seat deposit is? I haven't received anything in the mail yet.

I got the scholarship, was able to negotiate significantly more, but not enough. I tried to negotiate again and am still waiting for a reply. I think it is always better when there is silence on the other end than an immediate negative response.

If you don't mind 2 questions:bartleby wrote:I got the scholarship, was able to negotiate significantly more, but not enough. I tried to negotiate again and am still waiting for a reply. I think it is always better when there is silence on the other end than an immediate negative response.
1) Who did you email
2) Did you attach a letter as a .doc file or put the letter directly in the body of the email?

Damn, they must like you more than me. They told me that their initial offer was their final offer.

Mind posting or PMing me what your offer was and when you got it?RaspberryBeret wrote:bartleby wrote:I got the scholarship, was able to negotiate significantly more, but not enough. Has anyone been provided info on what case is going to be discussed during the mock class at the ASD next weekend? I assume we will be receiving a schedule and parking information this week.

Any chance I'll have a decision this week since ASD is this weekend? FIR 2/17. Just wondering if they try to get more decisions out this week because of it.

Is the ASD different than the reception? I got a card for a reception (one in Houston, one in Austin) but nothing about ASD?!TJISMYHERO wrote:Has anyone been provided info on what case is going to be discussed during the mock class at the ASD next weekend? It is different. Check out the admitted students website for ASD details. An exact schedule of events has not been posted yet though.deepspacenine wrote:Is the ASD different than the reception? Re: University of Houston 2011
Does anyone know if the admissions committee worked over Spring Break? I am hoping they did... Someone I know submitted his application January 30, went under review February 16, and got accepted via status checker March 3 (two weeks after going under review). My file went under review March 9 so I am hoping that I will receive a decision two weeks from then (if the committee went over apps during Spring Break).

my file has been complete since the 6th of January. Does it mean that I most likely will not be getting accepted? its been close to 3 months and the deadlines are coming up soon for deposits.

And no one has received their aid packages, correct? Like with merit and need based aid in them?
