Not doubting you, and I truly hope you are right. I think it has just become a real drag to wait anymore at this point.

It's made worse for me because I am pretty much twiddling my thumbs at work due to a long wait on a contract being approved by legal. Damn lawyers.

Haha, oh irony. I wish classes kept me interested. At this point, I just don't care anymore. I am ready to move on. This is also not helped by the fact that I already met all requirements to graduate before this semester began.

What if all those cross admits are different organisms with human appearance that have the ability to just make their own copies, thus they will be able to attend all the schools they got admitted to?

You know, I wish I could attend all the schools I am admitted to. Everyone has something that really catches my eye, it almost isn't fair that I have to choose just one. I wish I could do one semester per school...

I spent 6 months on this project. If legal says, "no go", I just wasted 6 months of my time because none of it is portable to an alternative. Of course I did not have authority on the decision making - I recommended no but the board overruled. Ah the joy of working for someone else.

Yeah, that's more or less the bottom line.

As to the "It makes sense for the cycle to slow down now" idea: last year, there were tweets of admit calls on 2/1, 2/11, 2/23, 2/24, and 2/28. (No one on LSN reported being admitted on those last three dates, for whatever that's worth.) But they definitely do admit people shortly before and shortly after the deadline, regardless of the crunch of apps that they get right around now.

Okay, so new prediction: I predict that there will be at least one more tweet for admit calls before the 2/15 app deadline. So far I'm about 50-50 with these predictions, but this one seems modest enough.

One piece of interesting info: LSAC forum registration is down 27% year over year (12596 to 9188). There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest this year.

This is because people have begun to realize that there's no connection between signing up for LSAC forums and receiving fee waivers :p

I am ready to move on. This is also not helped by the fact that I already met all requirements to graduate before this semester year began.

I too like that this topic is finally starting to attract new posts! I started to wade through last year's Yale applicant thread...as some of you already know, it's quite a strange party in there--and very little actual Yale discussion. But they did rack up a very respectable 140 pages by the end!

Then, after the new year, there are usually a steady 3-5 posts per month. However, this year, there have not been nearly as many. Is this related to the snowpocalypse that seems to have set them back a week or two in app reviewing? Is this just a totally meaningless statistic? Or...

Oh, I am well past that by now. My boss insists I stay at work for my regular hours even when I don't have a project to work on, even though I'm paid by the hour So I have plenty of free time, and have already exhausted my regular NYTimes reading material.

It really depends on the faculty members reading your file. Some faculty are sticklers for the LSAT or your undergrad GPA. Some are more into your story. Some care only about what your recommenders say, because they feel that every other part of your application has been doctored. Some read every LSAT writing sample, and swear by it. It really depends on the combo of faculty reviewing your application which factors matter most.

All I can say is I have difficulty reading mine. Maybe I can submit an addendum and a transcript of what I wrote?
