Nope, I would not be willing to.

but Minnesota or UIUC wont give you a good shot for CA jobs. It's all about where do you want to practice.
I have no preference on where I want to practice. I've lived in AZ my whole life and am wanting to experience new things. Still doesn't mean I'd be willing to pay sticker at Davis.

I was just curious, because while I'd love to be back in CA, I don't think I'd be willing to attend Davis at sticker :|
I wouldn't be willing to attend Davis in-state sticker even though ending up in CA (preferably NorCal) is my absolute priority (well... behind paying off debt in a reasonable amount of time in a place that I am at least okay with). Because of that last part I will probably be taking a large scholly at GW over Davis/Hastings (were I to have gotten in and not waitlisted). However, I might actually take USC at sticker (were I to be admitted) over GW even though that is a ridiculously risky and probably poor financial decision.

Is anyone else here going to the ASD on April 9? If so, are you doing the reception on 4/8? I'm just about finalizing my travel plans now.

Yep! I may go a day early in order to attend both. It makes the most sense since the other reception in Northern CA isn't until May I think. Unless you are from Socal.

This is probably about the same as Fordham/GW/BU/etc at sticker considering CoL in Davis is dirt cheap.
This. You can live for 3 months in Davis on what you'd spend in a month in NYC or DC.

Well, i've officially been under evaluation for an entire month. 2/15-3/15. Another day's worth of agonizing tomorrow won't make much of a difference at this point i guess.

Under Eval as of last Fri. I am praying that the Davis Adcoms are drunk off their new ranking and let me in.

My application went from "Application complete- Evaluation in Progress" or something thereabout to just "Evaluation in progress." Color me confused.

Yowza, just got an email saying that based on Need Access, I should get $25k per year in grants.

For being in a state as bankrupt as it is, the UCs sure do give out generous need packages. This probably pushes Davis into the lead for me.

Ooh cool i just checked my email and they said I qualify for $12,000 a year but that it might changed once they look over our FAFSAs. Anyone know how renewable these grants are from year to year?

Isn't Davis the only UC that gives out such large grants? Haven't heard of any others doing so....

Yep, from their Financial Aid office. It's a preliminary estimate; I think I still need to send in my tax returns and verification documents and what not.

I think I've read other UCLA admits getting some pretty generous offers, too. Hastings is supposedly pretty stingy.
