Honestly, I was surprised.... I know 3 people that go there, all were admitted with worse stats than me (2 right away, 1 off the WL). My softs and recs are good... WTF

Yeah, I'm surprised too. I know someone who got a full scholarship plus housing stipend with a 3.8, 167 and is a 1L this year. I would have bet you would have gotten in with money if you asked me a couple months ago.

Thinking it was a glitch might be considered an irrational freak-out. I suppose that's a common TLS trend though (myself included).

Some schools have had glitch acceptances (via status checker and email) so it's not outside the realm of possibility!

Debating withdrawing- does GW actually have need based aid, and is it better than Georgetowns? Like, a lot better? Because otherwise I may as well withdraw now.

GW does have need based aid, I believe the limit is 16k/year. But if you are in at both GW and GULC without scholarship money from either, you probably have an easy choice to make

Purchasing a smartphone in the last year has been a curse and a blessing. Every email this afternoon has been accompanied with a small freak out.

You have no idea the insanity they can cause. Waitlisted via email. Shortly thereafter, all Verizon users in my area lost cell service. Meaning I get no more emails on my phone for the rest of the day. Making my Wake Forest scholarship waiting even more stressful since I'm going to have limited access to my computer. Smartphones ruin your sense of patience.

I'm almost thankful that my numbers are "low" because at least I am 100% sure that I will not be receiving any scholarship from GW and thus don't have to stress thinking and waiting for it. Lookin' on the bright side over here...

I upgraded from a regular phone for the sole purpose of being able to go out, get drunk, and receive my LSAT while drunk. Now I found out it's utility with law school acceptances, which also means I have a small heart attack every time I get an email from Anthropologie, Zappos, Regent Law, etc. thinking it's something that I actually want to read about.

I have two, my school email and my personal one. For a while I was signed up for a few retail mailing lists on both. It never bothered me before, I just deleted the extra. But now I removed myself from every duplicate, because I practically jump a mile every time that little red light flashes.

Most admissions deans don't answer emails directly. Plus, GW is a huge school so it's more likely that higher level administrators wouldn't respond.

Rejected today with a 166/3.63. My first real surprise of the cycle. I thought for sure I was a strong applicant, maaaaybe a waitlist... but outright rejected? Well, we all have to be taken down a few notches once in a while.
