i just got in off the WL too. 163/3.1 (shit show freshman year...what can I say?), URM, wrote a LOCI. This is interesting because before this morning, I had basically decided on going to Maryland...now I dunno....question is, Maryland > Wisconsin if I want to end up in the mid-Atlantic/Northeast area to practice?clarebear726 wrote:JUST GOT IN OFF THE WL!! I've been I/R since 3/10. If they're already admitting people off of the WL over me, I highly doubt I have much of a chance.
ah well, I'm ok with that.

I wouldn't sweat it. UW is notorious for wl'ing qualified people and then once they write a LOCI letting them in.
They pull from the wl the whole cycle.

IN!
Anyone know how long the packet typically takes to arrive? Will I get my scholarship info in that initial packet?

Does anyone have an update on financial aid information? If and when they are going to send it out considering I have several deposits due in 10 days.

I would email Rebecca Scheller or the Admissions office and make them aware and see what's up.lawyeriA wrote:Does anyone have an update on financial aid information? If and when they are going to send it out considering I have several deposits due in 10 days.

Did anyone who got in off the WL get a scholarship offer? I'm thinking it comes via snail mail.

In yesterday AM! So so so happy! Applied pretty late in the cycle - but got lucky to be admitted right before the ASW. Anyone else headed up this weekend?

Re: UW-Madison 2011
I got in on 3-31-11 with a 3.35 and 164/159. Really excited, also would have to turn down $$ at Chicago Kent, but i think it might be worth it, just hard to do. I did just visit again yesterday and met with Rebecca Scheller, who is incredibly nice and really helpful. She said that scholarships are considered on a rolling basis and will continue to come out through june even i think. She also said yes some people from the waitlist do usually get scholarships.
What does everyone think about UW v. Chicago-kent with $$. I know UW is better in wisconsin and i'm open to practicing in wisconsin but would like chicago more. What does everyone think?

Re: UW-Madison 2011
Chicago Kent is a really good school. If you would like Chicago more, then consider it. (and I am not just saying this because I am waitlisted at Madison. lol) but I did get in at Kent and I would totally go but I think I would hate Chicago.RUM wrote:I got in on 3-31-11 with a 3.35 and 164/159.
