I'm going to keep checking today then
Agreed, from what I can tell those whose status has changed are pretty much the number rockstars/autoadmits of the board. I wouldn't start getting discouraged if your status hasn't changed yet. I'm not. If it hasn't done anything by January, then we'll talk...
Kind of. Those whos status didn't change to "decision pending" are the rock stars. The rest of us, with "decision pending", could be on a ride until the late spring. According to last years thread, a FEW "decision pending" people changed... but many stayed that way for a long time... and majority ended up with a WL or ding

Oh, so you believe that "final decision pending" is a probable WL or deny? [I'm not trying to be smart, I'm just asking haha] I thought most everyone went to decision pending this early because right now I would guess schools are trying to make their "ideal" class by taking those with top numbers. I figured the schools would keep us dangling until the top numbers they select withdraw in favor of higher ranked schools they've been accepted to. I could be wrong. Again, I'm not trying to be a jerk here.

3 days off! congrats minuit and deuce <3

You know me- I gotta see it to believe it. But after some quick call phone calls I still have a couple of friends who are above both medians that are in the decision pending batch, so I don't think that's a bad thing.
Surely UF is reaching for the stars. With the 75th LSAT going up to 164, I'm assuming auto-admits are people with atleast one number above 75th percent (and the other one @median+). They're probably going to wait and see what kind of applicants they get before they accept lower #s. Deuce, go ahead and withdraw so I can get your spot pls k thanks <3 <3 <3 (shh we both know you're t14ing it!)

I've trolled last years thread quite a bit. Like I said, most admits went straight to Letter in transit. While some "decision pending" candidates were accepted (most of those who ended up being accepted were accepted pretty quickly though)-- the remainder, from what I gather, didn't fair so well.
This is just my assessment of last years cycle.

Just checked. Still at "Review complete, final decision pending."
Status Date: 11/4
Don't they know I watched the game against SC last weekend? That should've put me over the hump.

I'm also still at "final decision pending" but I'm not going to pretend to be surprised. Congrats to those of you with decisions in the mail!

I really believe that a good number of you with "decision pending" are going to get in eventually... UF can't just accept people who are auto-admits, they are going to have to admit splitters and such. And like Deuce said, he has friends with good numbers that are decision pending, too!

I would wager its a percentage a little less than the admitted applicant percentage. Something like %25.

I don't like this negativity! We're all going to get accepted, they just want to keep the suspense going. BTW, minuit, what are your numbers?
Also, when did everyone start getting the "final decision pending" status? I got mine November 4. I'm hoping that since FSU took their sweet time admitting me that UF is just doing the same... :-/

Only Minuit and Deuce have the letters in transit (I think..)
and I think about 1/4th of us with "decision pending" will be admitted.
I also got the status on November 4th.
And I'm not being negative

That's just my realistic assessment of the situation!

Wow 1/4? That's a lot lower than I thought it would be! It seems kind of odd since from what I can tell auto-admits are getting in now and thought the % getting in after them would be higher.

Really? I think its pretty good..
Here is why:
U. of Florida only admits 22.8% (last years stats) of people that apply. Remove the auto-admits from this group (say, 5%) because they are already in, and you're left with @ 17.8% (of the rest of us). The reason I brought this up to about 25% is because I'm factoring in that as TLSers, we are probably representative of a little higher than average applicants (we obv. found this site, have done research on schools, and most prob. studied for the LSAT a good bit). This is just a quick-made formula that I got my rough estimate from. Like I said, just my personal assessment.

There's one other person who posted this morning with letter in transit, both numbers above UF's 75%.. (s)he is actually the reason i checked my status!! so it really seems like only auto-admits right now, there are def going to be more acceptances later. I think your assessment is pretty correct.

My friend and current law student at UF just said "decision pending" is their nice way of waitlisting you. He said yeah, a few will get off... but not many

buckle up.. bumpy ride aheadddddd!
edit: someone could call (first ask for someone who is NOT the receptionist-- advisor pls) and ask "for those who are decision pending-- when will our applications be re-assessed for a final decision?"
teeeehee

Should we expect a letter in the mail telling us about the waitlist?

I would rather be dinged in November than ride a waitlist until June lol.
and ns I edited that statement above: no because it isn't really a waitlist. It's more like a hold,...

I think I was decision pending for quite a bit before I got my acceptance (which did not follow a waitlist).
