Also, no KB1s on Friday the 13th? Come on!

Honestly, I'm ok with getting waitlisted for a few reasons.Doorkeeper wrote:Yea...me too.sharktankdean wrote:Its funny i thought that by this point i would know where i would be heading in the fall,i thought i would have bought my school paraphernalia and would be getting ready for Law School...i was soooooo wrong.
The thought of dragging this out through the summer if I'm waitlisted is horrible to me right now.

Hate to point this out, but... August. =\WhiteGuy5 wrote:

Here is the real talk: There is a high probability that if you are reading this and aren’t yet admitted (yes, you), you are not going to get in. Period. No number of genial “I know you’ll get in!!11!” posts from fellow waiters will change that fact (spoiler alert: they’re not really rooting for you). Make peace with the likelihood of your ultimate rejection and if, like me, you miraculously beat the very long odds, you can resume thinking about this.
True. Although I have done this re: Harvard--my rant was more about CLS.Syme wrote: Here is the real talk: There is a high probability that if you are reading this and aren’t yet admitted (yes, you), you are not going to get in. Without trying to sound like a jerk, I think this is a little harsh and bit inappropriate seeing as you are one of the lucky few who HAVE received a KB2. I think we would all appreciate it if you took your "real talk" over to the admitted students thread, and let those of us still waiting hang onto the hope that we do have. We all know that it's unlikely, but here's some more real talk: I know two people personally who were pulled off the waiting list in mid-May. There is SOME hope. When I got my KB2, I had resigned myself to the probability that I wouldn't be going to Harvard. I hadn't looked at this thread in weeks and had functionally forgotten about my application. When you aren't obsessing about something, you won't stress.

SO true. At this point I've very happy with my current choice, planning housing and moving and all that lovely stuff. If the remote possibility of Harvard actually becomes a reality, I freak out then. But I definitely still would just like a response. All the waiting is worse than knowing. But its harvard so I'll take ithypothalamus wrote:Credited.Syme wrote:

Just took a peak and it doesn't look like fun. I think I'm going to draw a line to which I'll wait, probably about May 31st, and after that withdraw. I, like most here I think, am really happy with my current option, and even though it's Harvard, I don't like the idea of being toyed with through June and July.yepyepyep wrote:I just read the WL thread from last year...
It's not for the faint-hearted...it gets pretty depressing after the first wave of admits.
Hope...always hope
I've got mine scheduled for today...so maybe.chucklesmcgee wrote:Isn't there supposed to be a round of interviews for URMs around this time, if the schedule shown last year holds up?
Dude, you were wait listed at Harvard? Or were you just held?tiger11 wrote:I've got mine scheduled for today...so maybe.chucklesmcgee wrote:Isn't there supposed to be a round of interviews for URMs around this time, if the schedule shown last year holds up?

Last year's schedule is not holding up, so I wouldn't trust it.chucklesmcgee wrote:Isn't there supposed to be a round of interviews for URMs around this time, if the schedule shown last year holds up?
