I can't imagine enduring this for another month. I choose to believe end of may was for WL admits too.

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Sorry for any confusion. I am a held candidate and they told me they hope to have all decisions by the end of May. From that I gathered they meant all acceptances, denys, and waitlist decisions. I don't know if that means everyone on the waitlist will know if they get in or not but if your held you might not have a decision by May 1.MichelFoucault wrote:Dude you need to clarify.scottlj wrote:Just went to visit Harvard today and they said that they hope to have all decisions out by the end of MAY. Which is depressing since I thought they would all be out by the end of April. Sigh.

Wow. In previous cycles, when did HLS render decisions for held candidates? Is this timeline unprecedented?scottlj wrote:Sorry for any confusion. I'm confused I called the admissions office on Friday and she definitely said that if I hadn't heard back by May 1st I should call back.

Every time I hear of new KB1s I run to check my email, don't see anything, and become very sad.

Oh NO! That's my hold datetiger11 wrote:Just received it today, around 5:30 subject line's pretty straightforward, "Harvard Law School-Interview". Was held on 2/10. Holding out hope for more KB1s to come.

I honestly don't think they are necessarily going by hold date.

Does anyone have a sense of what proportion of folks who get KB1s/JS1s are getting in?

This is probably a more sane method than mine: Just keep refreshing gmail every minute.Doorkeeper wrote:Every time I hear of new KB1s I run to check my email, don't see anything, and become very sad.

I wonder how full the class has become? I spoke with an HLS professor the other day and he said to still have hope because they still have room, and that they usually pull a lot of students during the summer! I agree, the wait is really hard! Always checking my e-mail, always thinking of something new I can mail in ( achievement, additional reason I want to attend lol, ANYTHING worth their review )

Historically it's been around 80% I think.terps wrote:Does anyone have a sense of what proportion of folks who get KB1s/JS1s are getting in?

Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
KB announced that there is only 1 spot left in the HLS class of 2015. In order to allow applicants to demonstrate how much they REALLY want to attend Harvard, the Adcomm has decided to throw all remaining TLSers into an arena where they will battle to the death until only one of them remains alive. That person will receive the last seat and complete the class of 2015. People accepted to Stanford are allowed to volunteer and enter the arena, as well.agrisham1 wrote:I wonder how full the class has become?

Geneva, I'm also confused. Friend is not an euphemism for ME because I got my decision months ago. Some of us just happen to know people who are applying to law school who are not on TLS. Total shocker, I know. Thought I would contribute to the thread by adding information I'm aware of.Killingly wrote:Confused as to why you seem skeptical of Sayornis' post.Geneva wrote:"friend"?sayornis wrote:Friend who applied in January got a KB1 (or is it JS1 now?) scheduled for next week.
Non-URM. Non-International.
Another friend who applied in October and was held in the middle of January got a KB1 scheduled for next week. Non-URM. Non-International.

Do we think all these KB1 emails this late in the game are because they really need a lot of slots to fill or is this just par for the course? I know this is an extremely weird cycle....I'm a KB1--held--3 months of silence person starting to go crazy haha.

Still haven't heard anything. Late applier, not yet held, nothing since going complete mid-February. Would it be a waste of time for me to send a LOCI even if I have some relevant work experience since applying to add?
