Re: NU (NW?) Apps '11-'12 - Congratulations RD Admits! <3
hi everyone, this is my first post!
does anyone know when, historically, JD/Ph.D decisions have been made? does anyone know what the acceptance rate is like? i am applying to this program (am currently a Ph.D student in Political Science at Northwestern), and am growing anxious!
for those counting, i went complete 1/20 with a 171 LSAT and a 3.83 UGPA, 3.98 GGPA.
thanks, and good luck to everyone waiting.

NW would be very doable from Lincoln park, I think it just depends on what you like. LP has a more of a neighborhood feel to it than old town or streeterville. Personally, I'd like to be a little closer to the school. Its around a $12-15 cab between LP and the law school. As much as you say you'll take public transit, you get lazy especially when it's freezing outside (at least I do). I also have been going out more often to the old town/division/river north areas. Of course I've gotta get in before I make any kind I plans...Samara wrote:You wouldn't just stay in Lincoln Park? Living in Lincoln park right now, would love to move a mile south.

Good to know. I'm considering Lincoln Park, but I think I want to live closer to campus, too. River North and Gold Coast are looking pretty attractive.T_SAN wrote:NW would be very doable from Lincoln park, I think it just depends on what you like. Ahh, thread: slim to none but the lsat last weekend felt great, and thought I'd take a (half second) shot. Went complete today.
With all the boosters here on tls, I'm hyped on NU. Wish me luck!

Does anyone have data on the NW early admission acceptances? Will they offer the scholarship again next year?

The website specifically says the scholarship is for those who applied ED (and were accepted) in 2011 and will be enrolling in 2012. That doesn't mean they won't offer the scholarship again next year, but it seems to me that since they list years it's not really a permanent thing.180asBreath wrote:Does anyone have data on the NW early admission acceptances? That seems like a reasonable supposition.Kikero wrote:The website specifically says the scholarship is for those who applied ED (and were accepted) in 2011 and will be enrolling in 2012. It could just be that specific because this is the first cycle for the ED full scholly. I haven't heard anything about making it permanent, so it will be interesting to see how it does.180asBreath wrote:That seems like a reasonable supposition.Kikero wrote:The website specifically says the scholarship is for those who applied ED (and were accepted) in 2011 and will be enrolling in 2012. Updated to Decision Letter available in 24 hours. With my numbers .. this will be my first ding of the cycle (and most certainly not the last). Do I really have to wait for 24 hours?

If you really have a 3.9 I wouldn't be so sure about the result. It should be available within a few hours.moxy wrote:Updated to Decision Letter available in 24 hours. Just updated to DL available with in 24 hours.
Have not been really following this thread. Do I need to just keep trying to login or will it notify me again when the decision is available?

No, you don't have to wait 24 hours. That would be awful. The wait should be between .5 hour - 2 hours.

You will get a second email. I think most people got the second email before their letter was available.wendys27 wrote:Just updated to DL available with in 24 hours.

One of Joffrey's shows next year. Sounds really fun!
February 13-24, 2013 - Nine Sinatra Songs
Choreography: Twyla Tharp
Music: Frank Sinatra
Tharp creates an enchanting mix of ballet and ballroom dance set to the incomparable Frank Sinatra. With glamourous dancing, Sinatra's classic recordings and costumes by Oscar de la Renta, this piece is an "indisputable winner."
