Hey date twin! No DLS here either...NotAGolfer wrote:When I saw you got your DLS today, I thought for sure today would be my day too, given how similar our stats are. Noticing that it was a lot of splitters, reverse splitters who went DLS today

Oh god...I am a splitter (nothing too extreme), but I just went DLS today. I think I am getting rejected. But LSN gives me a 60%+ chance of getting into NYU. Tears, just tears. I have to say that I have been counting on this.

I painfully and intimately understand the feelings on this thread right now.. I was stuck at 12/13 until just yesterday. All I can say is that it's a weird cycle, but hang in there, they are evidently not done extending offers. In solidarity with you all ~

Also went DLS today, and I thought I was outright rejected. I have no way of knowing since I am also international, and I don't have a U.S. phone number. Did you try calling them back? What is the area code, if you don't mind me asking?ml0606148 wrote:I got two stranger phone calls yesterday and I did not answer to them!!! shit!!! My experience with other acceptances (that are usually done via phone) is that internationals always get them a bit late, since Deans and assistants have to draft the emails themselves which admittedly takes longer than picking up the phone. Texas sent me a week of admitted student emails without telling me I was accepted, until I emailed them back and asked. I can only assume the dean in charge of informing me the decision simply just forgot...

thanks for the information!!! I always thought all law schools sent their offers via email...it seems I am completely wrong....melmelcoolj wrote:Also went DLS today, and I thought I was outright rejected. The area code is Hong Kong's area code, that was why I did not answer to it. I assume even if NYU had called, it would have been US area code?

Just praying I make it through the night with no email from NYU.
Did anyone last week go DLS on Tuesday and then get admitted later in week?
I'm looking for some type of hope here. I said it before, but people who went DLS today were splitters, reverse splitters. The entire cycle NYU ignored us. Maybe they saved us for last, evaluated us, and then sent a few acceptances?

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Watch NYU waitlist a bunch of people later this week, wait for the deposit deadline to go by, and start mass accepting people from the waitlist a week (or two) after putting them on. In light of this weird (and waitlist-heavy) cycle, NYU's already massive waitlist acceptance rate, and an artificial goal of "initial" acceptances before the end of April, I say we all treat any upcoming NYU WL decisions as mere holds of the "not now, currently freaking out because weird LSAT distribution" variety.

Bright side of obsessively stalking NYU today - the person rejected on TLS listed "public ivy" on their profile. Learned a new term. lol

lol I went to one. My friend who also listed public ivy on here was met with the same confusion. Seems like the only people who know that term are people who went to one.jessmeesh wrote:Bright side of obsessively stalking NYU today - the person rejected on TLS listed "public ivy" on their profile. I went to one too! UMich. I had just never heard the term. I'm a first-gen though. I'm still out of the loop on a lot of academic things lol

Yes, to all of this! I guess splitters are just not NYU's game this year. Been waiting since September.NotAGolfer wrote:Yep, since the beginning of October. I've got a crap gpa though. This is the only decision I'm still waiting on.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:
