I get that too when I call, but then I usually call again and a real person picks up.

I have a phone interview today. What to expect? Just like "Why Cornell?" and "Why law?"?

Mine is on Monday and I would also like to know

I interviewed with Northwestern too, so any comparisons would be nice

2 questions:

1) Is there a difference between the Reserve List and the Wait List?

2) I heard that Cornell offers interviews to all Waitlist candidates. Anyone know if that's true?

1) No difference
2) Yes, it says on your application. Just call and ask for one.

Nothing too crazy. "Why law." "Why Cornell." "What do you want to do with a JD." ummm the last one is, "if you had 60 minutes in front of the admissions panel to convince them why you are a good candidate... go." and then have questions for your interviewer.

Just got my acceptance e-mail! I think Cornell might be a great fit for me so I'm pretty excited..... but I'm worried about money, do you think it is too late to get any merit aid? I think my numbers should be good enough to get at least a little (175/3.6) but I'm afraid there may be none left......

Thanks! Should I wait until I receive the actual letter or would it not be bad form to start asking for money right now, within minutes of the the acceptance e-mail?

Uh...I just got placed on their reserve list todaỵ. This is considering that I got waitlisted at Loyola-LA, and I should have been according to my numbers.

WHAT?

Just checked my status checker.... my status changed to as of 3/31/2010 - Decision

But I have not received an email. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, do you know what kind of decision it is? (the decision you received)

Do you have admitted student links? If yes, then you are in. If no then it could be a ding, reserve, or an interview request.

No admitted student link....damn, I hope it is an interview request.

Received reserve letter in the mail yesterday. I kinda wonder if they considered my February score like they said they would or just used my 165. Either way I'm not heartbroken. Congrats to the admits!

When did your status checker go decision rendered?

it says as of 3/30 but I definitely checked it on 3/31 and 4/1 and there was no change.

Oh god I am so hoping that I get this one, Cornell is my final hope for T-14 otherwise I'm stuck with Fordham (not too bad a choice, but still!).

Although Cornell is a great law school, I visited a couple of weeks ago and the weather sucks. I am not sure if I am prepared to spend 200k to live in an igloo for 3 years.....thoughts?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
