NYU: Sounds like a wager to me.
So rude. So accurate.
Can anyone take a guess at what's happening today?
A disgruntled admissions intern is typing "DLS" randomly into people's status checkers
If only I could "like" posts on TLS.

Scholarship application doesn't get read until after the applicant has been admitted, AFAIK.
Damn... so if the deadline for that scholarship passed & people have been admitted it's basically confirmed you either won't qualify for that scholly right?
Yes, unfortunately.

I believe the named schollies hold interviews and give offers around the end of March/beginning of April.
edit: scooped 2x

Vandies don't necessarily get interviewed

lmao "expediting decisions" ...yeah if you call "expediting" getting them to us at literally the very last possible and reasonable moment. like "you're welcome, we're rushing to get them to you barely before our own self-imposed deadline" hahah.

So y'all can breathe for a bit.
What about the rest of us

When I got my acceptance, I went DLS in the morning and got an email that evening. Not sure if they're doing phone calls, though.
One of the deans at ASD remembered my app because they sent me an email instead of calling my international number, so I'm guessing emailed acceptances are (or at least were) unusual this year.

Yeah, I meant named schollies as in those that are application only.
That being said, it's also probably too late in the process for any more Vandys either.

Effin' FAAPS. I almost got my scholly revoked because I couldn't log in to "accept" my award on the damn thing by the deadline (even though I had already sent in my intent to enroll).

I'm a little angry at the term expediting decisions. I thought our apps were being "carefully reviewed"?

expediting decisions or carefully reviewing us? looks like the form language they use in every single email and the lies they spew are catching up with them.
"we're expediting decisions because we know we waited until the last second to make decisions on candidates whose files we've had for over 6 months"

I actually got in, but honestly guys, the way they have handled many things (both financial aid and admissions with you guys) is such a turn-off. Really not impressed. There's no excuse on their part. They're just doing a very bad job frankly and it reflects on the school. A lot.

The rest of the threads are basically dead at this point as far as regular cycle decisions go -- this one's still going strong.

That's weird... this old post based on standards and norms from five months ago just popped up. I'd bet that Barack Hussein Obama was still the president when you expressed this quaint idea.

Just tried the Admitted Student Website and it still doesn't work.
NYU, the decision letter isn't sent if we don't have a decision letter.

Same here, they're done with acceptances it seems.

New to post but have been following for awhile. Got a new UR yesterday (got my hopes up a little) but now nothing! I'm a splitter (low gpa, better LSAT) and I applied to NYU ED (my first UR was in Dec where they rolled me into regular admissions)...wondering what the stats are of the people who got URs and DLSs yesterday/notified today?? I'm very convinced I did not get in at this point but since NYU isn't talking/I'm freaking out I'm just going to analyze the hell out of the situation. Thanks!

Hey hang in there. I'm still inclined to feel that a Monday UR status change is still a good sign
