OH MY.
This might be a dumb question, but I was reading through the thread re: merit aid. I saw a lot of named scholarships that had a separate application process being discussed, but does NYU give out aid apart from those scholarships?
congrats! when did you submit / go complete?
I submitted 2 days before the deadline. Went complete on 2/24.
I also just went DLS today. Applied early-December. 172, 3.6. Since it doesn't seem like WL letters have started yet, does it mean I am accepted if I did not receive a rejection e-mail? Or could I just as easily be accepted or rejected via snail mail?

Congrats (I think). What time did your status checker update?

Wait do they send out apps for those? I thought they were just given out based on merit/need going off the Need Access form. And I think they come out sometime in March, so probably in the next couple weeks.
Oh my bad, last year people started receiving their financial aid offers Tues March 9th, so [theoretically] it should be this week.
I spoke with someone in the finaid office earlier today and they said that the first round of finaid reports will go out either late this week or early next week.

I've also heard that NYU does a great job of mixing merit aid with need-based aid, so they are often fairly generous and it looks better when negotiating with other schools! I don't know that for sure though.

Generous aid from NYU would be nice. I hope this is true!

Yeah I´m also curious about that, there are 5 others right? I haven´t heard anything. I also applied for the Global Scholars one and that´s just dead as far as I can tell.

Just found out I got accepted at NYU via an email from the Financial Aid department! I'm very happy about it.
Does anyone know when the Admitted Student's Weekend is? I am in Haiti at the moment and didn't receive any official info from them other than an email from Financial Aid asking me to fill out forms and congratulating me on my acceptance.
Any information would be greatly appreciated! I know the first one coincided with Columbia's. Is that happening again in late March?
