Cool cool. Kind of crazy how trap blew up - was surprised that the majority of parties at my mostly white undergrad played nothing but trap. Back when A$AP Ferg was getting big lol. I like Migos in the same way, though I prefer A$AP Mob style.brinicolec wrote:Trap thing.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:Do y'all really like Migos or is it an ironic thing like Lil B? Or a trap thing?

Naw Migos are actually good. I liked them since I heard that song handsome and wealthy. It's just the feeling that their music gives you.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:Cool cool. I mean I don't think they're bad. But I feel most trap music gives you that same feeling lol.Mr_Chukes wrote:Naw Migos are actually good. I liked them since I heard that song handsome and wealthy. To a certain degree yeah. I just mean it all has the same formulaic elements, which end up giving you the same similar vibes (albeit they differ - some are upper, downer, angry, hyped, etc).Mr_Chukes wrote:Naw varies by artist lol.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:I mean I don't think they're bad. Not that related, but I always wonder how much Migos would have blown up if it wasn't for their hooks becoming memes. Versace was a decent size meme for a while, but B&B's "RAIN DROP. DROP TOP" took on a life of its own in 2016 lol.

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
ok this is what scares me: Just now at 12 AM eastern I got an email from william and mary law about their application deadline. But it's timestamped yesterday at 1:31! It didn't show up in my gmail or on my phone until now. The same thing happened with my Cornell financial aid information.
Has this happened to anyone else? One was sent via lsac and one was sent with lsac.outlook or something.

Same thing happened with my LSAC score, Berkeley acceptance email, etc. I think schools load a batch of emails into the LSAC system, which queues them up but staggers the actual sending.Keilz wrote:ok this is what scares me: Just now at 12 AM eastern I got an email from william and mary law about their application deadline. Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants
question for whomever might have insight:
Do you use a name on your resume that's different from the one you go by in day to day life? Does it cause any problems - for example how do employers ask your references about you, what happens if they google you and find nothing, and other things idk
Debating on whether or not to start doing this from now on.

I do. Think legal name William, nickname Bill. I'm assuming LOR's and references all referred to me as Bill. I put Bill as my preferred name on applications iirc but always fill out everything with William (applications, resume, sign emails William, etc.)R. No problems, I don't think.

It's probably not good at all for my anxiety but it's hard to ween off if you're lethargic without it.

I don't get the typical withdrawl symptoms (like headaches) but when I don't have have coffee by around 2pm or so...I get so lethargic/tired that I barely have the energy to stand.Rigo wrote:It's probably not good at all for my anxiety but it's hard to ween off if you're lethargic without it.
