Condolences to all the WL folks. It's better than a ding, but I get it that most of you won't ride the list.
I can only hope! Getting on the LOCI trainAttax wrote:Sorry to hearrion91 wrote:Waitlisted. So depressing.
I'd imagine that those who applied close to the deadline (which seems to be many who were WL) probably should have gotten in, but they need to wait until after the first deposit to see how many spots are available.

The first increase was also unsolicited, also via email, and at the same time that quite a few other applicants reporting getting a bump. I believe it was a few weeks ago.bound wrote:cannibal ox wrote:I just got a second unsolicited scholarship increase (via email).

What are some good (read=cheap and close to the university) hotels in the area? My plans fell through and I have to make a last second hotel booking

How cheap are you looking? Many of the hotels close to campus in the Clayton area are around 100-150+. I'm staying at the Seven Gables, they have a 125 per night rate if you mention Washington U. Crowne Plaza was around 100 a night but they're now booked. There are some hotels a little further away like the Red Roof and Holiday Inn that are around 65 a night I think.littlegiant wrote:What are some good (read=cheap and close to the university) hotels in the area? Appreciate the post. Never really been to the area, so I was kind of clueless. I will have a car, so distance from school isn't a huge deal. Very helpful. Waitlisted on April Fools Day. We were all just WUSTL'ed. Wish I could say, "Well played WUSTL" but it still stings too much.
Time to write the LOCI.

Sorry guys, I thought it was going to be another bump for a bunch of people. Sounds like there should be some money after the deposit deadline at the very least, so it's not all bad news.

EJL123 wrote:Just got the waitlist email on April Fool's Day of all days. Bummer. WUSTL was in my Top 3 and would've been a serious contender with a considerable scholarship. LSAT around Median and GPA > 75th. Had my Skype interview two weeks ago.
I will be withdrawing from WUSTL and submitting a deposit elsewhere so hopefully that opens up a spot on the waitlist for someone else.
(Not an April Fool's joke btw; I wish the waitlist email was a joke lol. But it seems like the WUSTL waitlist email is the real deal).
Good luck everyone!
Sorry to hear about the waitlist. When did you submit? I haven't really received anything.

Sorry to hop on your thread, but I just got yet another email from WashU to apply. Hasn't the deadline passed?

I don't think WUSTL actually has a deadline. However with the recent waitlists, it seems as though they've got the numbers they want so far (I have no idea this is just my dumb opinion).bravo1085 wrote:Sorry to hop on your thread, but I just got yet another email from WashU to apply.
