Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
well I applied 11/18, went under review 1/7, and DR 1/21. My numbers are 158, 3.88. This would be a miracle to get wait listed, but I'm holding out hope...

Sit tight, guys. My status checker updated to UR 1/21 yesterday before going to DR 1/21. Not that this is good news, as I am almost assuredly screwed, but you may still have a decision before the end of the day.

The mail lady came pretty early today, and there was nothing from GULC. (I'm very close) Maybe tomorrow!

Had a request for an interview come in yesterday, but since it was optional I declined. Anybody in the same boat? does that mean a decision may be closer?

Um.... you probably should have taken that interview, a lot of borderline candidates get asked to interview and I think it will hurt your app by not doing so.

Unless you're already in a school you'd prefer over GULC, I'd reconsider. Interview request likely means you're on the track to a waitlist if you decline (which is how they can get away with the "won't negatively affect your decision" language).Boro88 wrote:Had a request for an interview come in yesterday, but since it was optional I declined. Besides, they'll hook you up with a local alumni (assuming you don't live near DC) for the interview and it shouldn't be too bad.

I don't hope that you're rejected, but I do hope that I'm accepted in your place.savesthedayajb wrote:What were you thinking?!!?!Boro88 wrote:Had a request for an interview come in yesterday, but since it was optional I declined. Anybody in the same boat? does that mean a decision may be closer?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Argh, I've been complete since the 5th but have yet to go under review, while some other people who went complete around the same time seem to already be accepted. I am planning to apply for the public interest scholarship, and I think to be considered you have to have been accepted by 2/1, so it looks like I may be SOL with that. I applied November 24, as December LSAT takers were advised to do in order to expedite things once our scores came back. But it doesn't seem to have expedited things at all, and I feel like my application has somehow been lost in the shuffle.
Is there any reason to call and make sure everything's there that they need? It says complete so I am not too worried, but it seems strange that more than 2 weeks after going complete I am not yet under review, especially since I applied in November.

I applied the first week of December, went complete on 1/6 and am also not under review...if that makes you feel any better.

I also went complete on 1/6 and have yet to go under review (although I applied on 1/4, not in December). If it lasts another week I might e-mail them to ask. If you're interested in the PI scholarship, you might consider calling them now.
