Cool. I haven't really researched the area much because I don't have that much of a chance, heh.UnamSanctam wrote:You won't find any here. Bright side? There's a Chik Fil A about an hour away. If we all get in, I'll be organizing weekly (daily?) trips there no doubt. And yea Unam, I've been looking at food spots around the school, looks so much better than what we have around my campus in LA. The Chik Fil A sacrifice might be doable.
I really need to stop visiting this thread. I was doing pretty well avoiding thinking about glorious AA last month -_-.

Question: Did you get a letter from the Native American Student Association? I did a while ago, and I'm not sure if I should follow up. Maybe it would look good?

Athens, GA. Not only is there Chick-fil-a, but also a plethora of local restaurants with fantastic food. Om nom nom. There is no way I'm staying here, but I'm going to miss the food.

Zaxby's is only in the south, too?! I don't know if I can live without Zaxby's, Chik-fil-A, or Publix...! It's so funny how different the parts of the US are. But I promise to love you anyway, Michigan.paul34 wrote:Zaxby's club sandwich FTWcamillefisch wrote:

If I hadn't found a Target in AA I would be saying something totally different.

Even in DC there is no sweet tea and no good bbq, I can't imagine Ann Arbor. But lol, good thing I am not getting accepted so I won't have to consider that option.

BOOM. LOCI material right there. Forget how committed we are to Mich., we need to stress how vital it is that they accept us in order to benefit their culinary culture. Sweet tea and BBQ should be rights damnit, rights. Living here without sweet tea in LA made me start going to McDonalds (something I vowed to stop doing at like 10) for nearly two years until Chik Fil A opened here.
Ashamed to say that I don't know what Publix is despite having family throughout the South.

Maybe it's because I'm not from the south, but sweet tea is an abomination. Maybe just drink maple syrup?

All tea should be unsweetened, IMO.

Lol, I'm going to start telling people that sweet tea and BBQ are rights. That's great. And Publix is a grocery store full of wonder and magic. And really good subs.hyakku wrote:BOOM. Seriously though, I can't stand the stuff. I've had it a couple of times while hanging out with my great-grandpa in Augusta. It tasted like what I imagine the liquid in the bottom of the trashcan when you take the bag out must taste like. I don't even know.
BBQ, on the other hand is TCR. That was always the reason we detoured through Alabama on the way through to Georgia or Florida.

The Carolina's and Tennessee have the best BBQ. I love the vinegar. Ketchup based makes me sick.luxxe wrote:thelong wrote: BBQ, on the other hand is TCR.
