Y'know, there's no god damned reason why they couldn't just go ahead and say we're rejected. I think that most of us are realistic, but there will always be that tiniest sliver of hope because they just don't say it. Because of that little sliver, I've got to sit around and wait for the next three days for the ding to come in the mail. Bastards.

That's what I thought...and don't they notify of waitlists via email? Actually, I thought they sent all decisions via email...I'm about to vomit...excuse me.managamy wrote:+1.Notor wrote:Pretty sure they reject by emailTipTravHoot wrote:Y'know, there's no god damned reason why they couldn't just go ahead and say we're rejected. Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
Pretty sure they accept by mail, reject and WL by email. But there was a debacle earlier in the cycle where people waited like a week after their DR only to be rejected by email...but surely they've worked out those kinks by now! I was WL'ed by email simultaneously with my status checker changing. Sorry you guys are left hanging like this, but without knowing the makeup of your numbers it seems like you're probably in? After all, how hard is it to send an email?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
All of the numbers in this block, including mine, have either been borderline low to auto reject. I mean, if I were the one 166 3.87 RD in this group, I'd be like..."hey, maybe I got lucky", but seeing as almost everyone has numbers around mine--the above "reject batch" theory may pan out. Whatevs, I got in to GWU today

While--though I hate to admit it, the current batch doesn't look promising. However based on LSN's chart here http://gulc.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... order=desc it appears that 14/15 were mixed batches.

Hard to tell based on LSN since some people seem to report when they got the letter rather than when they had DR on their status checker. In any case, I'm rooting for you guys

Beef, you give me hope. You, and a nice glass of bourbon. I love you both.beef wellington wrote:Pretty sure they accept by mail, reject and WL by email. Did any of the DR 1/21 people have interviews? (Good luck, by the way, all hope is not lost; Gtown's is a big 1L class.)

No one knows for sure, but I believe those were my first two UR dates, and the general consensus seems to be that if you made it through the 1/21 DR that is probably a good thing.def2104 wrote:Did anyone else have their UR date change more than once? Plenty of people have. As far as we can tell it doesn't mean much. (I, myself, have been UR 4 times).def2104 wrote:Did anyone else have their UR date change more than once? I was UR 11/2? and now it's UR 1/7...is this good bad? Anyone know?

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I applied ED, and was just deferred to the regular applicant pool. I received notification via e-mail about 15 minutes ago, and my status checker date changed to 1/22 (status still says "application under review"). Looks like I need to rock the LSAT in 2 weeks. I went complete on 1/4, application under review on 1/7, and applied to both PT and FT.
I expected a rejection, so the deferral feels great. When I saw the e-mail, I fist pumped like a champ and thought about this guy:

Went decision rendered 1/21. What is the turnaround to get the decision once that is in status check? Also, rejections=e-mail and waitlist/accept = snail mail, correct?
