My status checker changed to DLS. What does that mean?

Sorry if this has been discussed, I haven't really been following this thread. I submitted in early December and have been under review since 12/22, and have not heard a peep from them. Is it normal for NYU to take this long? Any indication of what it means for me? Thanks, I'm just getting a littttle curious as to what exactly is going on over there.

I think NYU just has a hold system like any other school - you're just not informed.

Submitted 2/1, not sure on the complete as I'm not seeing an email from them.

So on Friday my status checker changed to "decision letter sent" and today I entered my info into the admitted student website sign in and it let me into the site... does that mean i'm accepted?

If what's been true in the past is still true, then yes, you are admitted.

I mentioned that I got in a page or two back, but I realize now that I failed to include dates.

App sent in via LSAC around 10:00 pm on 02-01-11.
App received on 02-07-11.
App complete on 02-15-11.
Decision letter sent on 02-25-11.

I applied with literally hours to spare. I have to imagine I was at the bottom of the pile.

Thanks for your responses! I submitted 11/1, have been under review since 11/10, and my status changed to DLS on 2/25 but I haven't gotten mail yet and I'm in upstate NY. My numbers are 168/4.02

Finally got the purple envelope. Went DLS 2/18 logged in to ASW five days later. 171/3.8, applied late January.

Why do these things take so long? I went DLS on the 25th (into ASW as of two days ago) and I still don't have a letter. Normally it only takes a couple of days for something to get from NYC to RI. Do they tell the USPS to take their time with these things so that we get to suffer?

It was stamped 2/23, so 8 days..
