Is it possible to get a decision before you "go complete?" I'm still "applied" as of 1/26 and it's getting to be crunch time...

My numbers should be solid, so I'm still hopeful, but if I it will be a month AFTER I go complete at some indeterminate time, I suppose I shouldn't hold my breath.

We'll let you know if it ever happens.
Still waiting holls?

That sucks, I really wanna go to school with you.
Yup, radio silence. Been "complete" for a month, hoping a response is coming soon... :?
*fingers crossed*

In other news...admittedly, I'm one of those people who's constantly looking for signs about what lies ahead for me, but the cornell has popped up often in the past few days. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say good news is brewing. What's the worst that could happen? Ding? heard that bell too many times. One more wouldn't break me.

Some examples from the past few days:
-Cornell makes the sweet 16.
-yahoo article on the food in the Last Supper paintings between yrs 1000 and 2000. cites cornell law professor.
-cnn article about recent suicides at cornell.
-sister called asking about cornell law (first convo we've had since feb. never mentioned to her that I applied).
-friend hit me up to tell me she got the ding from cornell law.

thats well over the average for me. Ah well, maybe next week will be back to normal. 8)

Will calling the admissions office and expressing continued interest in Cornell help? Maybe sending in a LOCI? I know for some schools this does or will it sound desperate?

Another 2/16 here. Cornell is my first choice and the only school that will sway me; I was honestly expecting a quick ding so I could move on with my life. Oh how I want you Cornell, but you act like the beauty that leads me with no results.

Finally "complete" 1/26. Now, it claims a decision will be made in 8-12 weeks. Is that 8-12 weeks from today, or from 1/26?

Perhaps I misunderstood you, did your status change to "complete" today after you had sent everything in 1/26, or has it said "complete" since 1/26?

If you just received notice of going complete, expect to wait a while.

The status changed today to "complete" with a date of 1/26. In an unusual burst of optimism, I'm heading up there next week for a tour anyway. Between this and the GULC "preferred" wait-list, I guess I'll be going nuts for a while longer.

CONGRATS!

I just got an email from the administrative assistant claiming that one of my letters of rec doesn't count as a faculty member that has taught me. I wasn't aware that both of my letters should be from faculty members? (the other is from the director of one of the non-profits I worked for)

Don't know what this means, but I told them to simply process my application as is.

I'm sweating bullets

In via email as well. Went complete on 2/11 I believe. Ugh this makes my decision so much harder...

When can we expect to get a financial aid offer and/or are there any forms that must be submitted before we receive word of that?

Do not hold your breath. I asked last week and they said that the plan was to send out fin aid this week. But I had to call on Monday for an unrelated inquiry. While I had the gal on the phone, I asked her when she thought fin aid would go out and she said end of this month/beginning of next month. Don't they know that some acceptance deadlines are April 1?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
