Right, the date in the hold letters.shaps6 wrote:BaiAilian2013 wrote:Well the e-mail also said they'd make every effort to get back to us by the date on our hold letters, which (the hold letter thing aside) wouldn't make sense to say to Reserve people, since that date was in April.shaps6 wrote:Have all of you who have received these letters been Hold people? Just want to verify that no Reserve people have received a request for a LOCI.
You mean the date for your letters, right? I thought the Reserve applicants are re-reviewed in late May. No?

I wonder if we can infer something about the nature of the prospective student bodies from the fact that only Chi and CLS don't have humorous alt-titles today. Hm.

How recently was the spelled-out CLS wordfilter enacted? I find it difficult to believe that nobody caught it for nearly a whole day.Jericwithers wrote:Also NYU.mochafury wrote:I wonder if we can infer something about the nature of the prospective student bodies from the fact that only Chi and CLS don't have humorous alt-titles today. Pretty recently, I think. I don't think it said "Colombia" here a few hours ago.clintonius wrote:How recently was the spelled-out CLS wordfilter enacted? How did you receive your hold status? Was it snail mail or email? The admissions office emailed me yesterday morning to say that they'd mailed out my decision letter on March 31. I was expecting a solid accept/reject answer to be coming. If I open up the envelope only to find out that it's a hold, I might literally loose my mind!worldwithoutend wrote:Held. Today. In April! Holds come by snail mail too. I don't know if they can call a hold a 'decision letter' though.lovepink2 wrote:How did you receive your hold status? Was it snail mail or email? LMAO good oneSaintClarence27 wrote:If it's an acceptance, the envelope will have 24K gold embroidery with an embossed wax seal. If it's a waitlist/hold, it will be silver with no seal. I'm waiting too. I had a dream last night that I got in and I was happily trying to put that on LSN. However, a window kept popping up and saying "are you sure you don't mean rejected?" "are you sure you don't mean waitlisted?" It was really sad.Jacinda wrote:Has any EDers heard about their holds yet?

Your UCLA offer is pretty darn awesome, so you're pretty much set either way.Jericwithers wrote:Look on the bright side, your dreams may come truehannah87 wrote:that is sad. i had a dream that i got a single piece of paper from NYU that said "No."grandslam wrote:I'm waiting too.
