Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Do we expect to see wait list notifications for the rest of the day? Or just a few hours like the JS2/1 waves?

Looks like all of today's waitlists have gone to those without JS1s, right?

It looks like those WLd today were all complete before January. Is that correct? Anyone WLd with a complete date after 12/31?

hahaha this makes me laugh at 3 am in Beijing. this whole thing is making me live both in beijing time and boston time..and my show to kill the time during this whole waiting is the good wife, which makes practising law look even more difficult..Eladriel wrote:Either that or start a cult centered around JS. Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
me, early oct submit, no JS1. Hoping for a WL but also realistic about the fact they still haven't waitlisted the mass of people with JS1s but no JS2s, so I'm trying to come to terms with my inevitable ding.chs1619 wrote:anyone still waiting from early october?
Last year's timeline had huge ding waves on the Wednesday and Thursday of this week, followed by a giant WL wave on Friday.

That's one more day as a guy who hasn't been rejected by Harvard. I'll take it.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
My mindset is the opposite--I (mostly my SO) can't take this anymore. I know WL by Harvard is a great accomplishment but I cannot imagine riding the waitlist until August. I want this over so I can start planning for [insert realistic 2nd best option here] and move on with my life. Reject me or accept me. Being stuck in the middle just prolongs the agony.universityof wrote:That's one more day as a guy who hasn't been rejected by Harvard. I'll take it.

Not sure how to feel now. There will be something particularly sad about making it through a WL wave just to get swept up in a ding wave.curlietop86 wrote:THIS. (with a heavy emphasis on accept). although i would also take WL - i just want to hear SOMETHING.Eladriel wrote:My mindset is the opposite--I (mostly my SO) can't take this anymore. Waitlisted, no JS1, 25th>GPA>50th, 25th>LSAT>50th
Do people on the waitlist also have to get a JS1 to be considered for acceptance,
or are they directly offered admission?
(Sorry if this has been answered before~)

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Yes, WL-->acceptances have to have a JS1. JS1's and JS1b's are offered off the waitlist — the latter is a call to those who already had a JS1 to ask if they are still interested in Harvard and whether or not they are willing to commit to coming. Common wisdom is that if you get a JS1b and say that you could commit, you get accepted.quanteniacma wrote:Waitlisted, no JS1, 25th>GPA>50th, 25th>LSAT>50th

Complete 10/15, still no word. Dun dun dunnnn.
I know anything could happen in the next few days, but I'm seeing that people w/the same complete date and higher stats were WL'd today, so... I'm anticipating last-day ding, just because.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I'm at 25th GPA, 50th LSAT. I don't expect to get in, and I'm fine with it. I don't need to go to Harvard to do what I want to do, and I think I'd be just as happy in New York as in Boston.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
