I think the date at the bottom is just a time-stamp from when the page is accessed. It says 2/12/12 because you opened your status checker on 2/12/12.

Last year the spike in waitlists happened on the 25th. We might have another week of hope. I'm totally writing my LOCI tonight though.

But did anybody's checker update at all yesterday? Because it seems highly unlikely that everyone on TLS is about to get waitlisted at the same time. I'm gonna have to agree and say that Mich just didn't update for some reason yesterday. Probably everything will be back to normal tomorrow.

FWIW, i'm also stuck at 2/10/2012 after updating everyday since i've gotten the status checker. applied early november.
