Re: University of San Francisco
Thanks so much!!! I was so excited when I got it. I originally applied to the full time program but then I was waitlisted back in February and they asked if I would do part time if I didn't get into full time. Naturally, I agreed because I love the school. And I am on 2 other waitlists right now but I doubt ill be getting into them, so I definitely plan on attending unless a miracle happens lol.km23 wrote:
Wow congrats!!!! Were you waitlisted before? I am waiting patiently for PT (hopefully). I am currently on the wait list and have sent 2 LOCIs thus far. Any tips? Are you attending for sure?
I sent them 1 LOCI, as well as 2 updated resumes. I think the clincher was when I went and visited the campus last weekend though. I went into admissions friday afternoon and asked them like 10 questions and mentioned how badly I wanted to go. I then handed them an updated resume so that they would know who I am as it had my name and USF student id number on it. I would definitely recommend going there to visit the campus and dropping by admissions to ask questions but don't make it formal, show your personality and enthusiasm for the school. Definitely take an LOCI, updated resume, or additional recommendation letter so they can put a face to your application because they will not ask for your name or id and it will be a waste of you visiting if they dont know who you are.
Thats pretty much it, good luck and hope to be your classmate soon enough!!!

Re: University of San Francisco
I was emailed yesterday evening: In of the WL for PT program only. I probably will not take it since I only applied to the FT and requested FT only when I sent in my wait list confirmation. Sigh* Looks like I'll be attending a different school for their FT program. Interestingly, USF was the only school that suggested I go PT instead of FT. Their reasoning was bad GPA, even though I did stellar my last year, good LSAT, and 5 years WE.
I will visit the school tomorrow.

I will visit the school tomorrow.

To those who recently got in off WL, did your Current Status and Current Status date change around the time you got accepted?

I haven't been waitlisted yet, but the date of my current status changed last week. Anyone know what that means?

I sort of withdrew today. I got a PT offer even though I request FT program only. I was just put back on the waitlist for FT.

After Decision Rendered, did Decision Letter Mailed also appear under the mail description? I am assuming it's a reject since I haven't received an email.

Re: University of San Francisco
I received a strange email earlier this week that was basically reiterating the wait-list procedure and policy, this being weeks after I received Mr. Guerrero's notification about the available wait-list seats. When I inquired about it, the response was that it was "simply a confirmation" that they received my wait-list form (which I sent to them in April, and which has been indicated on my application status page since April 26th). I found that both confusing and possibly a bad indication. Did anyone else get a similar email?

Re: University of San Francisco
So you received an email confirmation of your wait-list form before Mr. Guerrero's last notification? My fear was that despite getting the notice that there were 30 seats, my application wasn't being considered in this round, which would be upsetting.

I've been checking this forum for months but this is my first post -- hopefully to give some hope to those still waiting. In off the WL today (Full-Time) via e-mail. Good luck to those still waiting.
