It's true. Ace the LSAT and you can feed balls down her alley any time you'd like.
Are we about to cross some sort of line? Because I have a phenomenally vulgar tennis sexual joke I'd like to try out.
So do I, but maybe we should exchange by PM.

BTW, the joke above is more of a bowling than tennis metaphor.
What? Nonsense! I used to tourney competitively!

Ace:

Feed: Common term for returning or serving.

Balls: My favorite brand would be Wilson.

Alley: Otherwise known as the doubles alley, given that we had already established that this was no singles match.

I take great care in crafting my metaphors

The terminology is spot-on, but usually you feed balls to someone down the center of the court rather than way over in the alley.

It's awesome that you used to play competitively. Feel like PM'ing me for details?

There's an old post I could dig up, but I'm too lazy to do so at the moment.

In fact, though I have nothing against Michigan. The earlier comment was during a discussion about the Darrow. I was saying that the Darrow didn't offer (nearly) adequate justification for turning down HYS, and certainly I continue to hold that opinion. For me, the money didn't and doesn't justify the rankings hit from 1-3 to #9.

Yeah I remember that, but what I was referencing was the fact that Michigan was the only T14 you didn't apply to right? Or maybe the only T10? Either way, it stuck out in its singularity.

Yes, Michigan was the only t10 to which I didn't apply. I blanketed the t14 except for Michigan, Northwestern, and Cornell, although I almost didn't apply to Chicago either. All of those decisions were made principally for personal health reasons.

No, not unrelated. We're just unforgivably tangential.

Thanks guys!!!!!!! hahah yeah I guess the username is a misnomer now. Um, Yale would be nice (to say the least) but I think I'm more than happy with what I have now. My head would probably explode if I had to consider all three.

I won't be able to get the packet from my post office until tomorrow - when is the ASW? Are you all planning to go?

You'll get log-in info for the admitted students website with your packet in a couple of days. ASW is April 17-19 (the 16th is Minority Preview Day). Schedule looks ridic, and there should be a lot of folks there!

You seriously suck. I wish I could figure out whose alt you are. Maybe Renaix-whatever? Either way, shut up; your posts aren't funny and you contribute nothing to the discussion.

I look forward to your unintelligent and lame attempt at a humorous response to this post.

Today was only the "deadline" if you wanted your offer before deposit day. If, like me, you will almost undoubtedly be going to Stanford regardless of how much $$ they give you, today's "deadline" was pretty meaningless.

Speaking of financial aid, anyone received their offer yet? I talked to the folks in the financial aid office last week, and they said the first offer might go out as early as Friday.

Wow, good to know. How are the offers going to come? Email/snail/spotted owl?

I'm pretty sure they're electronic. I think somewhere on the admitted students site it says something along the lines of, "We'll email you when you can check out your financial aid award on Axess."

The thing is, you can't access Axess (hah) until you have a SUNet ID, which you won't get until you confirm enrollment, so I'm not entirely sure how it will work for those people who are still undecided.
