Of all the schools to which I've been accepted, CU has been the most generous and friendly with communications and updates.

Is this uh... before or AFTER you were accepted? So far all I have from CU is a complete notification, which came almost a month after I submitted my application.

Not to say I don't totally love you CU.

Anyone have any additional information about the accelerated JD program mentioned in the scholarship letter? My googling is leaving me emptyhanded.

I don't think it's really a separate program. They're just pointing out that if you plan properly you can pack your minimum requirements into five semesters versus six, at which point they'll declare you a graduate, saving you a half-year's semester and giving you a head start on employment. I would imagine other schools allow this too.

I applied to Colorado in the middle of January and haven' theard anything from them, besides an email saying they received my application. My numbers are above their averages (but not too above), and I wrote a Why Colorado essay. Just wondering when everyone else heard their decision, because I'm getting pessimistic.

I got in today. I was sent an email today about an upcoming open house and more stuff is in the mail. I sent my application on Dec 29 and went complete at the January 29. 164/3.6/URM

They're probably swamped at the moment, but I've found them to be responsive throughout the whole process. They were my first decision and quickest turnaround. In general I get the sense that their staff take their jobs seriously and genuinely want to assist prospective students through the process. That earns them points in my book.

j.wellington, do you think it would be dumb to give admissions a call just to check on the status of my application? I have been complete for about 5 weeks now, no word from them.

On Monday recieved a very nice scholarship offer. Stoked. CU wasn't a top choice until scholarship offer. Now, it looks really really good. Looking forward to meeting some of you folks in the near future!

Darn! I thought I had a shot at something with a 163/3.8, based on what others with my GPA have been getting. Maybe that one LSAT point makes a different though... has anyone with an LSAT<=163 received any money so far?

Sigh. Guess UW is looking better and better now - too bad, because I really liked Boulder!

To be honest, I was surprised to get a scholarship offer with a 164/3.48. My scholly would lend credence to your LSAT theory.

Haha. Are there any other levels of scholarship between 19 and 50 that we could potentially get bumped to?

Those would appear to be the packages for the time being, but maybe they redistribute things as the cycle plays out? I have no idea.

Me too. I applied in early November, and got this email shortly after, but had a decision in early January.
