LSAT at median, GPA slightly under median.

That sucks. Not trying to hate, but you'll probably get a WL in early March. Vanderbilt takes their sweet time with those, instead of just handing them out right off the bat.

Understood, no hate. I'd be lucky to not get an outright rejection.

Yeah, I applied last year your LSAT score and got WL'd in mid-March. I really wanted to go, but they drew a pretty sharp line at 167 (though they did admit a couple of 166ers with similar GPAs). This year it looks like the same thing, a 167/168 wall.

It looks like they started handing out WLs in late January last year.

Well I've got me a 168. No word since October. WL?

I couldn't say. I think if your GPA is over or close to median it would be very unlikely that you'd be WL'd. Maybe they're just slow-playing your app for whatever reason.

I sent Cornell an updated resume, which lists a few extracurriculars not mentioned on my initial resume. Perhaps I will send my new resume to the office, if not just to see if they still have me on file(?)

I went complete 10/8 with no decision (169, 3.38). I sent Vandy an, "I want you so bad," email that updated them on my new grades (got a 4.0 which bumped me to a 3.44 and helped my already strong trend) and told them about other softs that I have updated. I did it only because I want in to Vandy bad.

Status checker changed to decision mailed 01/05/2010!?!? Not sure what to expect to be honest....I think I have competitive #s (169/3.6ish), but I've been complete since early October which makes me think its probably a WL. Guess I'll see soon enough.

I think you'll be in. That GPA is decent for them and the LSAT is a solid point above their median.

+1
Decision mailed 01/06/10. Went complete 10/02/09.
I am below medians (outstanding interview with very unique softs notwithstanding). I hate to say it but I think this may be the first batch of rejections. Oh well, good luck to you all!

Just checked my status checker (I've been able to resist for weeks) - decision mailed 1/7

Splitter, really excellent interview... we'll see.

+1. Nervous, my #s are right below medians and my interview was neither great nor terrible.

Application Date: 09/30/09
Complete Date: 10/07/09
Decision Date: 01/07/10

After looking at the stats of people going to decision today it seems like this is a waitlist batch. Definitely a bummer, but at least vandy has more of an active waitlist than other schools (i.e. cornell).

Are mass letters that are mailed on the same day always the same decision, i.e. Wait List, or can there be some acceptances and some WL?

If I'm reading LSN correctly, it seems as if people with the same decision day got different responses. Also, around the second week of January is when they started rejecting people. But, though it has no correlation, the three people who had decisions on the 7th, all got in. Lol.

Question for anyone applying to Vandy -

When you log into your VULS, in the Dates to Remember box do you see?

"February 15 - Priority financial aid filing
March 20 & April 10, 2009 - Programs for Admitted Students"

Not sure about this, but I feel like the Programs for Admitted Students just appears recently. Does eveyone have this show up?

/Maybe my mind is just playing tricks on me.
